Girl's Night

Ember's POV

I took one last look at my room making sure it was spotless for when Charlie made her way in. Snacks. Check. Books. Check. Movies. Check. Drinks. Check. Extra blankets. Check. Pillows. Check. Everything seemed to be in order. A light knock sounded at my door.

"Come on in" I hollered without looking up. "Look-Ember- I just wanted to come by and apologize for saying what I did earlier, it wasn't right of me to say the things I said." I looked up and seen none other than the asshole alpha Alex himself. Guilt covering his perfectly made features. Damn his pretty face. "Look, it's fine or whatever. I'm already over it. No harm done." I couldn't help the anger in my voice. I seen hurt and anger flash through his features before he clinched his fists and walked out without another word. That certainly could've gone better. Another knock sounded this one was louder. "Come in" I said. Charlie walked in with a grin on her face and shut the door behind her. "So girl, my mate, his name is Elijah but he prefers to be called Eli!" She gushes "He's absolutely gorgeous!" She squeals. "Oooooooooo girlllll" I say to her. "What did you want to tell me?" She asks. "We'll, I found my brother I was looking for and crazy enough I have an aunt too!" I told her. "Oh my Goddess who is it?!" She bounced up and down on her knees on my bed that she had made her little cozy space on. I sat down with her and crossed my legs criss cross. "Beta Archer is my brother and my aunt is Corina" I whispered to her. Her eyes widen and suddenly she's full blown jumping up and down on the bed. "But that's not all" I continued. "Your um brother-he's my mate." I whispered looking down. Suddenly the jumping stopped. My heart dropped. That is-until I was engulfed in a warm heavy hug. Tears threatened to spill from my eyes. "Your cousin is my mate." She stated matter of factly. "I was gonna say it's like we will be cousins ourselves-but it looks like we might be just like sisters!" She squeals. I smiled a sad smile. "I don't think he wants me. He's always angry with me and he calls me a rogue all the time...I'm sure he doesn't want a rogue for a mate or the pack Luna even if I'm an alpha in my own right." I confessed. "Well, if I am being honest with you-and I always will be- you bring the late alphas daughter and an alpha in your own blood right, this changes things, but I don't believe if you where just a rogue he would accept you, but now we know your not! Plus I think your a good person- I have a good since on these things- and you'd make a great Luna! He'd be a fool to reject you now!"  She said to me and if I'm being honest, it did make me hopeful. We spent most of the night talking about what we think it'll be like to be with our mates and how much fun we would have raising our pups(kids) together. Soon we decided we would watch movies: she picked most of them, romances, and we ate our snacks.

"You know" she starts "I've always wanted a sister, and I'm so glad you came around. Alex never really could do these sort of things with me, he was always busy with learning to be an alpha." She finished with a sigh. Suddenly my heart felt for her. I grabbed her hands and looked at her. "I will always be here for you. You can always be sure that I will have your back no matter what. Sisters for life now okay?" I told her. I am not good with mushy things but something about seeing her so sad had my heart aching for her and I couldn't help but feel close with the one person who accepted me- even as a rogue. She gave me a small smile. Soon enough the last movie finished and we decided we would do each others hair and we also did face masks!

There was a knock at the door. We looked at each other and and I smirked. "Who is it?" I asked. "Alex." I looked at her and she shook her head no. "Uh, we're naked?" I replied mentally face-palming. All of a sudden my door flung straight open and I was met with angry golden eyes. My eyes widen and my face was too stiff from the face mask to make any other expression. "Hey! We could have actually been naked!" Charlie yelled at him. Suddenly I watched him go from confused to pink tented cheeks to laughing in the matter of seconds. I have never seen him laugh or even smile really-I didn't think he was capable if I'm being completely honest. It stopped as quickly as it started. "I just come to uh-uh" he started. "To see if she had another guy in here? Nope just me!" Charlie beamed at him. He started to mumble something under his breath. "It's okay- we are being good and probably gonna get these off our faces and go to bed." I say as I mentally thank the lord this mask is covering up the fact that my face is beat red. He nods and leaves and we do as I had told him. After applying lotion and brushing our teeth we snuggle into bed and soon enough I drift off into a peaceful sleep- one I haven't had in a while.
