Ember's POV

I woke up with a new look on things, and also extra tired from lack of sleep but I couldn't wait any longer. I got up and got ready and made my way to Archie's room so I would be able to speak with him about everything. He opened the door, and I rushed inside and slammed the door quickly behind me. "What the hell do you think you're doing?" he yelled at me. Instead of yelling back or reacting in any way I quietly reached into my pocket and brought out the pictures and handed them over to him. He stared at them quietly, no expression on his face. Suddenly I seen it all. Hurt and confusion swirling in his eyes, and then, anger. Suddenly I was being pinned to the wall his hand firmly around my neck. I growled a warning growl. "Where did you get these?" he screamed in my face. "Shut up you moron someone will hear you." I whispered to him. "I got them from my aunt Corina." I stated. "This is me." I pointed to the little girl, and he released me. "These are my biological parents, and this-this is you." I stated to him. He looked at the pictures and then back up at me and back down and up again as if trying to put the pieces together. Finally, after the third or fourth time of doing that the anger and confusion and hurt was replaced with something I would identify as happy. "Aria?" he whispered my name as a question. I nodded at him. "B-bbut I've searched for you-u everywhere!" He said tears forming in his eyes. "You haven't come into your powers yet?" he asked before I could even answer him. "Not yet" I said quietly. "That would explain why you don't have your gold eyes yet." He replied back. "What happened that night? Where did you go?"

"I got lost when I tripped when we were running away and hid in a large clearing in the tall grass and eventually, I was found, and I was taken in as an orphan and lived in a home with other children-humans- until I was 18." I explained to him. "As for the powers-I didn't even know I was supposed to have any." I said quietly again afraid someone would hear through the walls or door. "You cannot tell the alpha." "Not yet anyway" I said again. He nodded and before I knew it, I was being lifted off the ground into a big bear hug. "Now why the hell do you go by 'Archie' all of a sudden- you're supposed to be Big brother Bay!" I scolded him- I earned a chuckle and another soul-crushing bear hug. "Bay is reserved for only my darling little sister!" He beamed a smile at me- a real smile! I didn't think his stuck-up ass could do that.

Bay and I spent most of the day together goofing off and messing with each other and getting to know each other all over again. "I think it's time for dinner, you wanna sit with me?" He asked with glimmering hopefulness in his sparkling blue eyes. "Of course I would, still so much little things I don't know about you!" I stated with excitement. We made our way into the dining hall in the pack house, and we took our seats next to each other- literally everyone except for Carter- gave us odd looks. We ignored them. "What's your favorite color?" I asked him. He smirked at me. "Red, duh." I rolled my eyes at his reply- I should've known. "Is yours still forest green?" I beamed a smile at him. "Yes actually!"

"What the hell is up with you two? Since when you all start liking each other's presence?" Hunter asked us. I kept quiet and kept my head down. "Since it's none of your business." Bay snapped at her. My eyes widen in shock. I looked over to see the alpha watching us-very closely might I add. I looked away as quickly as I had looked. I perked up when Charlie took her seat on the other side of me. "I met my mate." she said quickly and quietly into my ear. "What really?" she nodded and blushed. "Ill tell you all about it later, mind if I stay in your room tonight?" she asked. "Of course." I said while nodding to her. "Besides... I have some stuff to tell you anyways." I told her. She nodded before sending a questioning look to her brother. I zoned it out. "Anyways, Aria, what kind of movies do you like?" Bay asked me. "Horror" leaving my answer short and sweet. "Me too" he grinned like a mad man. "We should watch a couple sometime, maybe tonight?" He asked me. "Not tonight, Charlie is coming to stay in my room tonight, how about the night after?" I asked him. He smiled and nodded his head yes. Looking straight ahead of me I spot Hunter still glaring daggers right through me. I shrugged it off. Not really my problem, although with her spirit I am sure if she wasn't so jealous of me, we would have actually been good friends, but I can't tell anyone about him being my brother just yet-not until I can protect myself and possibly even them. I'll just let her be jealous until then.

Soon I started to feel a bit sick to my stomach-so I excused myself to my room without eating any dinner. Laying on my bed staring at the ceiling I began to let my mind wonder over some memories, good and bad ones. I rarely ever let myself do this. I let the tears fall out of my eyes and quiet sobs leave my mouth, I sniffled them away and tried composing myself. Suddenly a pair of big and rough hands wrapped around my ankles and yanked me down to the end of the bed- surprised I let out a small gasp. It was Alex. I looked at him ready to yell. "What are you doing with my beta? and sneaking out with my Delta?" He asked- rage behind those eyes. "Wh-wha-what are you t-t-talking about?" I stammered out still sniffling trying to act as if he was crazy. "I'm not stupid! I seen you sneak out last night with Carter, and I see how you were flirting and going on with Archer." He said getting close to my face. "What game are you playing at?" He fumed. I was at a loss for words. I didn't have it in me to lie to him. "Did you think I wouldn't know? Did you think you were going to make me jealous?" He continued, shaking with anger. I found myself smirking, which only seemed to enrage him more. "Your jealous" I taunted. "I am not, but I don't need a rogue ruining my pack from the inside!" He said with venom lacing his words, and I can't lie, his words hurt. "Actually, I wasn't going to tell you until later, but Beta Archer is my brother that I have been looking for and Carter helped me find out when I went to see the witch-my aunt- last night." I said quietly, suddenly unsure of myself and looking to the ground and back up biting my lip. Confusion swept over his face. Without another word- he let me go and stormed out of my room-slamming the door behind him causing me to wince.
