The Unexpected Answer

Earlier that morning.

Info: Edward's personal driver it's on his way to your house as we predicted.

Erwin scoffed as he read the message from his right hand man on his phone notification bar. He took some deep breaths and lay back on his bed, closing his eyes. He rolled around his bed, making sure his hair was messy and his face was full of bed marks. He messed up his pajamas and turned off his bedside lamp. Then he did the waiting game, still closing his eyes.

He didn't even tell me anything before today and out of nowhere he sent his driver to pick me up at 4 AM. All that coming from a 'businessman'? Preposterous.

Half an hour later the bell rang. Erwin waited a little while until Edward's personal butler started spamming the bell. Erwin sat down and turned on the lamp in his room. He took his time going down the staircase and to the front door. He relaxed his eyes and his shoulder. He yawned as he finally opened the door.

"Mr. Russel." He greeted, the driver bowed a little.

"Your father sent me to pick you up Mr. Smith, there's something he wanted to talk with you he said." Erwin scoffed.

"I have school tomorrow. Didn't he say that I shouldn't skip school?"

"He said to not worry about school and that you could ask a friend to tell your teacher of your absence for you." Erwin sighed.

"Will it be bad news for you if you come back empty handed?" The driver went silent.

"Yes, he insisted on your arrival at his house."

His house he said? Erwin scoffed, slightly annoyed.

"If you say so, I don't want to cause trouble to you." Erwin opened the front door wide, giving way for the driver to come in but the driver refused.

"It's ok Mr. Smith, I can wait in the car." He said, pointing out the black limo behind him.

"I'll be there in 10 minutes." Erwin said, the driver bowed and left the blondie back to the black limo.

Erwin went back into his room. He took a shower then put on a white shirt and a black suit on top. He combed his hair and used a little bit of hair gel to tidy it up. He also grabbed his black coat and set his phone into one of the pockets on his coat. Finally the blondie went downstairs to grab a quick breakfast.

In the kitchen, he opened the fridge door to see what he could make early that morning. Instead of finding the ingredients for a quick breakfast, his eyes landed on the soup he and Hange ordered last night for Levi.

For a while he stared at the soup. Memories of the fun he had yesterday flashed in his eyes. Remembering the heartwarming moment between him and Hange made him smile but it all ended when suddenly his gesture last night appeared in his head.

Stop. He told himself.

He took out the soup and warmed it up in the microwave. While waiting, he roasted some toast and ate them for breakfast.

Ding!

He took out the warm soup and warped it nicely with a cloth. He brought the soup with him as he walked out of the house. He locked the door and went straight into the limo passenger seat.

"Before going home can we go somewhere else first?" He asked.

The driver looked at the clock in the limo then he turned to the blondie.

"Sure sir. We still have time. Is there anywhere you want me to take you to?"

Erwin gave Levi's address and told the driver that he had to tell the boy about his absence for that day. After that the black limo went off to the designated address.
