💌 ― LETTER # 39

My dearest Aline,

Where on Earth are you? Your apartment no longer shares your caramel scent and I cannot contact your mobile number. Every social media platform had told me your profile was deleted. I knew it, technology has really held a huge grudge against me.

We agreed not to waste any more paper and decided to send our letters digitally. Can you blame me for choosing the remaining option where I can reach you? Every second without the woman who consistently updates me and suddenly disappears just drives me into a frenzy. The words and letters are jumbled inside my head that I couldn't even write properly.

I am deeply worried, Aline. I want to know if you're safe. If you're alright. If you're eating well. If your hands aren't numb from the cold. It's summer yet the damn rain often shows up like an unwanted visitor to ruin everyone's day.

Please let me know where you are. Don't leave me out here like a cat on a hot tin roof.

Yours,

Alexander
