My dearest Aline,

Reminiscing always brings out the nostalgia. I should get used to this every time I'm playing Year of the Coin with my siblings.

Do you know how that game works? Well, for starters, we collect the coins in our pockets and place them in a jar once a week after going to Church. On the last Sunday, everyone randomly picks one and shares what they did during the year found on their coin.

Guess what I got? Out of all the years, it took me back to 2013 — the timeline where we first bumped into each other. When the newly-sprouted feelings are just patiently waiting to grow. Safe to say, I've only kept my words to a minimum. Funny how I even tried scratching my throat in order to keep myself from spilling every memory we've made. Should I thank you for responding after two years? I won't lie, it would have shattered me if it took you longer than that.

But you are worth the wait, sweetheart. I love you. Immensely. Constantly.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from my family to yours.

All my love,

Alexander
