(Y/n)'s Point Of View

I woke up to sight of vases lines up by the shutters, highlighted by the sunlight peaking through. They were the first things I noticed after opening my eyes, immediately snapping me awake. I gasped, ripping the blanket off my body before running over to the shutters. Each vase had a different type of bouquet in it, including flowers that were both familiar and unfamiliar to me.

My lips parted with awe as I spun, looking around the whole room, seeing that there were probably around eight vases in here that weren't here before. Each vase was a mixture of white and gold, painted in a marble style so that it matched well with the walls. How on earth did these get here? And why were they here? Though, I certainly wasn't complaining.

"I think the Lord ordered this so that you may replace the flowers in your hair whenever you wish to." A voice sudden said from beside the open doors, making me turn quickly.
"Uraume!" I exclaimed, a smile on my face as the lady walked into the room. Only now did I register what she'd said, realising that Lord Sukuna was to thank for this floral blessing.

"These...are for me?" I mumbled with suprise, looking back at the flowers. These would indeed look beautiful in my hair. I looked down at my braid, realising a few of the flowers had either fallen out or gotten crushed as I slept.
"These and every other vase you'll see today from here to the south wing." Uraume told me, making me smile. Sukuna really done this just so she could continue a silly tradition?

Even when Yumi was alive, the two of them didn't have the luck to be able pick new flowers for her hair everyday. When they could, it was always a special occasion. But now, that special occasion could and would last forever and she had Sukuna to be thankful to.
"The Lord is making a lot of changes for you, (Y/n). You don't seem to be acknowledging them as much as you should be." Uraume told me, making me frown.

"I am very thankful for his kindness!" I objected, assuming that was what she meant. But Uraume sighed and shook her head in disagreement.
"No, that is not what I am trying to tell you. I mean to say is that the Lord isn't known for his kind gestures or understanding, yet has made a great deal of changes just for you. You should not take this lightly. You should take it for what it is- extraordinary." Uraume told me, making me chuckle in denial.

"He's only doing this because I provide him entertainment- he's said so himself. It would only make sense that he would want to keep me satisfied so that I may continue to do so." I laughed, making Uruame sigh as she shook her head, disappointed. I could see it in her aura.
"Ah, so you're both in denial." She muttered, making me tilt my head in confusion.

"Denia-" I was cut off when Uruame's name was suddenly called out.
"Uraume! What has been taking you so long to report back to me?" A familiar voice asked loudly. It was just a few seconds later that I could see the source, Sukuna, as he marched down the hallway, getting closer to us.
"When I asked you to check if the brat was awake, I expected you to be back within the minute!" Sukuna complained angrily.

I smiled when the man burst into the the room, his eyes flickering from Uraume to me in an instant. For a mere second, I watched his red angry aura fade, making my brows furrow. And then, as if he noticed me looking at his aura, the furious red came rushing back.
"You." He growled, b-lining towards me, completely disregarding Uruame's presence now that he could see I was awake.

"Good morning, my Lord. I'm glad you came. I wanted to thank you for the flowe-" Sukuna cut me off with his own words, clearly having something to say.
"I told you to be back here by sundown, did I not?" Sukuna asked me, making my brows furrow. He was talking about when I'd asked to visit Yumi.
"You did- wait, I don't recall returning... How am I here?" I asked myself, my brows knotted as I tried to think on it.

Right now it was clearly early morning, meaning that I'd visited Yumi yesterday. I don't remember returning home...I just remembered crying profusely. Sukuna glared at me, raising his brow at my question, answering it without needing to tell me audibly.
"Oh! I see! Thank you, my Lord! Once again, you saved me from danger!" I gasped, making him scoff.

"Danger wouldn't find you if you stopped falling asleep in unknown places!" Sukuna snapped, "Do I look like your personal guard? I cannot keep saving you from situations that you repeatedly throw yourself into without any thought! Do you not value your life at all?!" At that question, I paused. No, I guess I did not value my life in the slightest. I do not have a reason to live...just a goal that would be nice achieve during the time that I do live. Life has not been kind to me. So why would I value it?

"I apologise, my Lord." I muttered, my eyes dropping to the floor. The room went silent all of a sudden, making me lift my eyes hesitantly to Sukuna's feet to peek at his aura. Its colour faded from a ruby red to a bright yellow, from hot anger to calm understanding.
"You don't value your life, do you?" Sukuna then asked, his voice no longer angry, his tone laced with something that I could not quite put my finger on.

I didn't answer his question, making him step forwards towards me.
"Look at me." The man then said once he was stood infront of me. I bit the inside of my cheek, unable to bring myself to look up. I was embarrassed and ashamed, and I'm sure he could feel it because of my cursed technique. He tutted his teeth at my disobedience before reaching out to grab my face and force my head up to look at him, squishing my cheeks.

"For as long as you live in this temple, you are to value your life. You are to worry about your safety and whether or not you live or die. Your future here is important. Am I understood?" Sukuna asked seriously. My future here was really important here? Well, I did translate jujutsu. I guess it was. I nodded in understanding.

"Words." The man demanded.
"Yes, Sir." I whispered, making Sukuna let go of my face with a satisfied nod.
"Good girl. Now stop pouting." Sukuna demanded before turning curtly on his heel and walking out of the room, leaving me staring at his back with parted lips, butterflies fluttering around my chest. Sukuna then clapped his hands as he called out,

"Uraume, follow! I have a few things I need you to brief the staff on."

(A.N ~ Good girl...)
