27: Ending It

"How do I look?" I faced Chloe and twirled for her. She clapped her hands in glee.
"You look stunning mi amor!"
She held up three fingers to emphasize her point. But I wasn't feeling it.
"I am going to end it, Chloe." I bent my head in sadness and dread for what was about to happen inside. Chloe sighed, her mood dampened because of me, wrapping her toned arms around me. I wanted to let out a few tears but I know Chloe would kill me for ruining the makeup she spent an hour on.

Today is the day I end things with Ryder for the sake of all of us. It won't hurt as much for us because our own bond isn't strong. We didn't accept each other despite the fact that we kissed a couple of times. Kylie has given the consent but I can't help it when I think about what could have been-

"You are doing the right thing. We will get through this mi amor. Together." And twirled me to the door. I would have fallen if it weren't for my impeccable stamina. I glared at her but she didn't feel threatened.

"Mi amor show him what he is missing out." She dramatized. I laughed and left. Ryder was waiting for me outside so I still have a few minutes to myself.
"Am I doing the right thing?" My hands shook as I pondered the question.
"Yes you are. We can't go back and forth for the rest of our lives. Ash is in support if it helps."
" I feel like we're going behind Ryder's back conspiring." I said lightly before getting serious again.
" I'm sorry Kylie."
"For what?" Kylie rested her head on her paws.
" For disrupting the relationship between you and Ash."
"It's okay, Alexa. You're suffering too."
" Maybe we can still fix things perhaps we-"
"No, we can't." Kylie growled. "There is nothing to fix. Our bond broke before it even began." I lost my cool and let loose all the emotions I have been bottling up these past months.
"Do you think I don't know that? If I go through with this, I will have to leave my life alone."
"You can-"
"I'm not done! I will never forget the joy of having my own pups. Never know how it feels to wake up next to your mate! NEVER! perhaps because the moon goddess has decided to play with my destiny." I shut her out after my elaborate outburst. It's time she knows how I feel. Summoning a great bout of courage, I open the front door and stepped out into the cold.

Ryder stood by the Black Ford Mustang. I admire the exterior of the car, distracting myself for what I'm about to do. When that didn't work, I glanced up at the full moon, illuminating the night sky that was already shining with stars. The moon comforted me in its own way, casting it's soft glow on me in a way that showed me the Moon Goddess is with me. That alone field Kylie and I with the confidence of a veteran actor going for an audition. I faced Ryder with that confidence and made my way over. He wore a deep blue suit, white shirt and black tie. His pants matching colour of his suit and his shoes the same as his tie. I skidded to a stop in front of right there waiting for him to fully assess my beauty. I watched his eyes ran over my every curve only stopping once at my full breasts.
"Shall we?"I didn't wait for an answer and climbed into the car immediately. I heard Ryder sigh before he entered the car as well. He stole a glance at me through the rear-view mirror as he zoomed out of the driveway and into the highway. Something was obviously bothering him but he was too scared to take it up with me. Since he won't, I will.
" What's wrong?" I questioned. Ryder sneaked a glance at me through the rearview mirror, quickly averting his eyes when he realized I was watching him.
"Nothing, Alexandra." His voice cracked a bit when he said my name. I sat upright at this. Something was obviously wrong.
"Something is wrong, Ryder. Tell me what it is." I demanded. The Alpha driving in front of me sighed deeply. When he spoke next, his voice was hollow, sad and broken.

" I can't do this anymore, Alexandra. I can't do this." He said, pulling the car over so we can talk better. Ryder got out of the car quickly and I followed after him. I leaned against the car as I watched him pace around. I know what he's talking about.

He wants to reject me.

Sorry for the late update but I had a bit of writer's block so that went and I got a bit lazy when it came to writing this on Wattpad so please I'm sorry.
