Episode 12: Family Secrets, part 1

Our episode opens up 15 years ago, where we see Maria Sullivan (the young woman frome the prologue back in episode 1) being sucked out of her house by the tractor beam of Eterius's giant triangle-shaped ship the Nibiru. her screams for help fall on deaf ears as she is taken aboard the spaceship where she is terrified, as we see flashes of herself inside the ship strapped to a table where we see robotic arms extend from the ceilings red lights shining bright in her eyes as we see young Eterius looking down on her as the young woman is artificially inseminated with alien reproductive material by the machine followed by being branded with the symbol of the Annunaki empire on her arm. we then see Maria Sullivan inside the ship's prison cell sulking while Eterius tells her that he was lucky to discover that Annunaki and humans are genetically compatible, saying that the sole survivor of a fallen empire he thanks her for being able to carry the future of his species. she however doesn't respond, continuing to sit there and sulk too traumatized to speak. However a young Agent Delta comes to the rescue, Delta telling Sagittarius to let the woman go leading to a one-on-one fight between the two Delta being beaten to a pulp however before Sagittarius can deliver the killing blow reinforcements arrive in the form of Sector 51 troops led by a young Commander Epsilon, Delta glad to see him the two shaking hands. Epsilon tells Eterius that he is under arrest for his crimes against the Galaxy followed by the troops subduing and capturing the alien war criminal. Eterius exclaims "you haven't seen the last of me, I will escape, and I will have my revenge!" as he is being taken away with inhibitor cuffs placed over his hands that subdue his Annunaki powers while a Sector 51 agent tells him "yeah yeah yeah save the speech for when you're judged by the council of planets". Epsilon looks at the woman in the cell and asks Delta "jeez, what exactly was Eterius doing to her?" Delta tells him "I don't know, but the poor girl's probably traumatized. we'll take her back to Sector 51 HQ for her to recover" as he lets her free from her cell. Maria Sullivan hugs Delta, telling him "Thank you" causing Delta to blush. We then cut to Sector 51 on the next day where we see Delta and Epsilon in the communication room talking to Alpha with Commander Epsilon informing him that Eterius otherwise known as Sagittarius the leader of Zodiacs has been arrested thanks to sector 51's brave efforts. Alpha congratulates the two of them on a job well done, informing them that the council of planets has decided that he will be sent to an off-world prison in the Alzatrac system for solitary confinement. Delta then speaks up, saying "we found a woman who was being held captive aboard the ship, according to the records her name was Maria Sullivan age 25. from what we could find from the scene of the crime she was apparently being subjected to some kind of alien experimentation, we don't know what. but whatever it was she was severely traumatized by the experience. She also had the symbol of the Annunaki empire branded on her arm". Alpha asks the two of them if they asked her questions since the night of her rescue, and Delta tells him that she has hardly spoken since her rescue presumably due to the aforementioned trauma. Alpha then tells Delta "once you get the answers we need out of her you must erase her memories to keep the secret of aliens from getting out to the public" Delta tells him "it will be done sir" followed by the transmission ending. We then see Delta enter the infirmary asking the LGMs how Maria Sullivan is recovering, and one LGM tells Delta "she's been acting strangely, abnormal human behavior. she kept asking Sector 51 faculty and staff for alcohol, as well as causing physical harm to herself by punching herself in the abdominal area". Delta understands the seriousness of the situation and enters the private quarters where she's been staying at, seeing Maria Sullivan laying in bed with hands on her stomach with a depressed look on her face. Delta asks her "are you okay? the little green men told me you've been acting off lately and I came here to check on you. trust me, the sooner you tell me what's up the sooner you'll be out of here and you won't remember a thing". Maria Sullivan sighs and tells him "I'm pregnant". Delta takes a step back and takes a moment to take in this revelation. Maria tells him "that alien who abducted me, he hooked me up to this machine that injected his seed into me. I can feel it growing in my body like a tumor" as she starts tearing up Maria tells Delta "I want to have children, just... not like this. I can't give life to this... this parasite, I can't do it!" Delta places his hand on Maria's stomach, telling her "it's okay, he's not going to hurt you again. we'll find a way to work things out, well at Sector 51 have memory-wipe technology so once everything's said and done you won't remember a thing". We then cut to Delta returning to commune with Alpha informing his boss of what he just learned, saying "I found out what Eterius wanted with Maria Sullivan, she's pregnant with his child. this is more serious than we thought". Alpha says "Agreed, it seems that Eterius out of desperation to save his species from extinction chose a human to produce an heir. I might need to discuss with the council of planets what we should do with the starchild" Delta comes up with an idea, telling Alpha "We erase the mother's memory after she gives birth, and I'll keep the child and raise it as my own" Alpha scoffs, telling him "Are you sure you're capable of raising a child? Epsilon told me everything about the last starchild you took under your wing, didn't end well" Delta clenches his fist, telling him "this time it'll be different I promise. It's the least I can do for that poor woman after what Eterius did to her" Alpha then tells Delta "if you say so, you better not disappoint" before ending the transmission. We then cut to black as we hear Maria's voice say "take her away, please!" followed by the cries of a newborn baby, we then cut to 9 months later where we see Delta holding the newborn in his arms while the traumatized mother is being carried away by Sector 51 personnel on a stretcher off to have her memories erased. Delta looks down at the infant and says "I'll call you... Lena" as he looks down at the glowing blue crystal on the hybrid baby's forehead. We then cut to present day where we see 15-year-old Lena Sullivan walking her alien doggo Poochie through the streets of Lincoln County, Nevada up to Alex's house, Lena greeting Alex's parents at their doorstep holding Poochie in her arms asking the Quinns if Alex is back home from school yet. Alex tells Lena that he's in his room followed by Lena hugging Alex having a happy reunion, Alex telling Lena that he'll be off from school for the summer meaning that the two of them will have more time to hang out followed by Poochie licking Alex's face, Alex saying "good to see you too Poochie". Alex asks Lena if she's heard from Johnny lately, and Lena tells him that she hasn't heard anything since the incident last episode at Eterius's old farmhouse. Lena finds an old scrapbook on Alex's shelf and asks what this is, Alex blushes and says "please don't look at that, Lena opens it up and sees some of Alex's baby pictures, Lena saying "aw Alex, you were so cute back then! I wonder if I was this cute when I was a baby, I don't remember that much" only for Alex to close the scrapbook and tell her enough. Lena sits next to Alex on his bed and tells him "you know, I wish I had a childhood like yours, with loving parents that I actually got to know" Alex then asks her "wait, you NEVER bothered to ask Delta or Epsilon questions about your birth mother?" Lena tells him "all they told me was that she abandoned me when I was a baby, they never told me what she was like or anything like that. they didn't want me to be distracted from my job of fighting alien criminals, heaven forbid I go looking for answers about where I came from" Alex gets an idea and tells her "hey, what if we go find those answers... together. Maybe Sector 51 has some super-secret encrypted files about your mom in their super-secret computer database amongst all their files about all the uglies in the galaxy" while Lena puts Poochie's leash back on. the two teenage friends fist-bump followed by the three hopping on the hoverboard while Johnny watches from on his motorcycle before we cut to Lena, Alex, and Poochie riding on Lena's hoverboard back to Sector 51 HQ where the two teens sneak into the computer room trying not to be spotted by the LGMs. Once the little green dudes have all left the room to go on break, Alex puts his computer hacking skills to the test and starts hacking through Sector 51's files until he comes across a folder on alien abduction victims. Alex hacks into it finding a list of people who were alien abductees over the years (including Senator Pierce's daughter Jeri who is mentioned to have been abducted by an alien race called the Dro) Lena notices the name "Maria Sullivan" on the list and tells Alex "hey, that person has the same last name as me! click on it!" followed by Alex pulling up the file on Maria Sullivan and looking down to see the words "Known Family: Lena Sullivan (daughter)" on her bio much to the shock of the two. However before Lena and Alex can learn more they are held at gunpoint by Delta along with Epsilon and the Sector 51 troops Commander Epsilon telling the kids to step away from the computer. Lena asks "why? shouldn't I have the right to know about my parentage?" Agent Delta tries to let Lena down easy by telling her "your mother Maria Sullivan wanted her memories to be erased after you were born. She now lives a peaceful life in the Nevada countryside with a loving husband and family. I don't want you to take that away from her, which is why I can't allow you to visit them" Lena asks "Is that why you withheld information from me?" Delta tells her "it was for her own good, to prevent your mother's repressed traumatic memories from resurfacing" Epsilon tells her "Agent Delta's right, your mom not remembering you exist is for the better. She's been through a lot" Alex then shuts off the computer and walks over to Delta and Epsilon's side, Lena exclaiming "oh come on, not you too Alex!" while Poochie growls at him. Alex then tells Lena "no hard feelings Lena, but I agree with Delta and Epsilon. we have no right to take the happiness away from someone. stop being selfish for once Lena and appreciate the family you have here: Delta, Poochie, Epsilon, Me, all of us are your family!" Lena then hugs Poochie goodbye before grabbing her hoverboard, Delta asking "where are you going Lena?" Lena responds with "to see my real family" before hopping on her hoverboard and leaving Groom Lake, hoverboarding across the desert where she suddenly sees Johnny on his motorcycle driving beside her, Johnny saying "hey, no hard feelings for being part of the Zodiacs right? I did save your life after all. Say where's that scrawny ginger friend of yours?" Lena tells him "not my problem anymore. I'm off to find my mother so that I can find out more about my family" Johnny tells her "about that, I came all the way out here to tell you something that you might need to know" only for Johnny to hear Eterius's voice in his head say "don't you DARE tell her the truth! Not yet!" causing Johnny to have a migraine. Lena asks Johnny if he's okay, and Johnny tells her that they'll catch up later before turning his motorcycle around. Johnny then gets off his motorcycle and takes his helmet off as he has a panic attack, only for Taurus, Cancer, and Pisces to show up and surround him. Johnny asks the three what they're doing here, and Cancer says "to keep an eye on you, to make sure you don't doublecross Lord Sagittarius" as he snaps his claw in Johnny's face. Taurus crosses his arms and says "he's been getting real suspicious of you lately Scorpio, we're all fully aware you got a soft spot for his offspring" Pisces then interjects saying "don't forget that she still works for the same people who killed your mom and incarcerated your uncle" Johnny then says "tell Sagittarius that I could care less about my uncle, but I still hate Sector 51 for taking the life of my mother. If only she and I weren't fighting on opposite sides of an unjust war" Pisces then says "well lucky for you that's exactly what our master plans to do with her. I heard he wants her to take her place by his side as his heir" Johnny asks her "so he wants to make her a zodiac?" Cancer then says "not exactly, I think he wants to make her a princess, and himself the emperor of the new Annunaki empire here on earth, once he's done killing all the humans presumably" hearing this causes Johnny to have a panic attack, having a vision of Eterius sitting on a throne with Lena standing by his side in traditional Annunaki attire accompanied by Eterius's evil laugh. Johnny tells the others "Tell your boss he can't have her" before swinging his tail at Pisces wrapping it around her trident and swinging her around only for Cancer to shout "Traitor!" attack with his claws which Johnny dodges before kicking in the face. Taurus then charges at Johnny who slides under the massive bull alien before paralyzing him from behind with his stinger followed by doing the same to Pisces and Cancer as well, Johnny telling them "Forgive me, I'm still part of the Zodiacs but I can't let you our Sagittarius hurt Lena" before driving off on his motorcycle. We then cut to Lena on her hoverboard riding through the desert until she comes across the address she saw in the files before putting her hoverboard away. She then rings the doorbell only for a kid named Tyrone to answer, asking the mysterious blue-haired girl "excuse me, but are you new in town? I've never seen you before" Lena tells him "I'm looking for a woman named Maria Sullivan, I heard she lives here". Tyrone then tells her "That's my mom, you know her?" Lena then says "I heard she was a relative of mine and I wanted to get to know her. I never really knew my real family. My name's Lena" only for Maria Sullivan to show up asking "Tyrone, who is this girl?" Tyrone then says "she says she's a relative, she says she came all the way out here to meet you" Maria looks into Lena's face and suddenly has flashbacks to her abduction by Eterius causing her to have a panic attack prompting Darnell, her husband, to rush to her aid, asking "what's wrong, honey? Tyrone, who's this girl? Is she from school?" Tyrone responding with "no dad, her name's Lena, she says she's a relative of mom's" Lena then says "I'm her daughter" Darnell and Tyrone both exclaiming "what?" before we cut back to Sector 51 HQ where we see Delta and Epsilon along with Alex communicating with Alpha, Commander Epsilon informing Alpha that he and Delta caught Lena and Alex snooping around sticking their noses in stuff they shouldn't. Alex vouches for himself, saying "with all due respect Commander Lena and I didn't know what we were getting into. I now fully understand why you kept that information a secret from her" Alpha then says "This is troubling, if she learns more about her mother then she is one step closer to learning the truth about who her father is". Alex is shocked, asking "wait, Lena told me you guys didn't know who her father was when we first met" Delta tells him "Yet another white lie we told her to keep her safe. The circumstances of Lena's birth were rather unfortunate, she was a child born from alien abduction, it would be too much for her to take in. Lena's father is Eterius" Alex's eyes widen, exclaiming "no..." ending our episode on a cliffhanger.
