Gina's POV
I woke up and rubbed my eyes, before checking my phone and seeing that I had slept in.
Fuck.
I'm a Disney channel movie protagonist.
I tossed my clothes on and grabbed two granola bars from my bag before pulling my hair into a bun since I did not have time to brush it.
I ran to the mess hall. All the other contestants plus Chef were standing outside.
"Did I miss breakfast?" I asked.
That's when I noticed that the door and windows of the mess hall were boarded up.
"No breakfast today!" Chef announced.
"Can I at least get some water?" Priya requested.
"No food, no water, nothing! Chris wants you hungry for this challenge., so hungry you will be" Chef told her, before walking off.
We all groaned in annoyance.
Confessional
Gina: Meh. *Holds up granola bars* I grabbed some food that I brought here anyway because I thought I'd miss breakfast, and I've spent entire days starving myself! I can totally handle not having food *Confident smile. Confident smile fades and she looks like she's questioning life decisions.*
End
"We can't compete when we're being starved!" Julia complained.
"Sounds like somebody's already making excuses for losing." Bowie smirked.
Confessional
Gina: Still pissed at him, but that was pretty good, not gonna lie.
End
The loudspeaker turned on.
"Ahem! Attention seven soon to be six campers, head to the beach! it's challenge time!" Chris said over the loudspeaker.

"Welcome campers! Hope you're hungry for your next challenge." Chris said.
"Nope." Julia said.
"How about for a fifty foot tapeworm?" I suggested, making her gag.
"Today is your hardest challenge yet." Chris said, before pressing a button on a remote.
"Welcome to the total drama task of balancing on the terribly treacherous poles of pain above the wicked waters of no return!" he said dramatically.
"You sound like a five year old hyping up floor is lava." I deadpanned "Now mind explaining what the actual challenge is?"
"All you gotta do is stand on a pole longer than anybody else." Chef shrugged.
"Ugh. Must you ruin everything?" Chris complained "The last camper left standing on their pole wins immunity and as always, everyone else is up for elimination."
"So, it's a Mr Beast video with a worse prize?" I asked.
"It's a Mr Beast video with a worse prize." Chef confirmed.
"Campers, pick a pole!" Chris said.

Gina: Hmmmmmm... standing far away from Julia would keep my sanity intact... Buuuuuut, I also want to annoy her into giving up.
Emma: *Clutches rumbling stomach.* Ughhh. A hungry Emma is a bad Emma.
