I couldn't sleep for the rest of the night, my nightmares just kept coming. Finally got what felt like forever, the flutter of dim yellow, orange light danced from my window. I stared out there not minding watching the new sun blind my eyes. I quickly jumped out of my messy bed and changed, as I did I looked down and noticed the knife scar on my thigh.
" dang she got me good..." I said with a small smile
I threw my clothes on and ran my fingers threw my tangled blond hair. Grabbing my sword and shield I walked out of my room, heading Down to my horse, Epona. As I exited the castle I couldn't help but feel...watched. I quickly looked over my shoulder. I shook off the feeling and walked up to my horse, a smile emerging from my darkened face.
"Hey girl..." I said in a hushed voice.
" Ready to go? You ready? " I brushed her main, letting the tan strands wisp past my fingers as she let out a happy neh. I smiled back as I hoped up on. As I got saddled in , that cold feeling never left me. Who was watching me...? I heard a small crack , and my ears twitched at the noise. I looked where it was but no one was there. I was beginning to get paranoid now.
"What in the hay...?" Then I saw a shadow move across the forum out of the corner of my eye. I froze there, a cold sweat beginning to form on my brow, I slowly moved my hand up to grip my sword handle. I held its handle so tight that my knuckles began to whiten. The only thing that could be heard was the sound of my breath and the wishing of Eponas tail going back and forth. I heard the crack again and reacted fast this time. I pulled and swung my master sword and sliced the air behind me. I heard a slight "eak!" And I hesitated , puzzled at the noise. I look around and saw where my swords tip was pointed at.
"Zelda?" I asked confused
"Woooaahhh link , not trying to scare you...uhm....can you loose the sword ?please? "
I stared at her for a second before snapping out of my daze, I sheathed my sword and looked back at her.
" my apologies princess, uh...is there a problem? " I asked
" No ...yes.... Uhm, the prisoner. Tori. She...has escaped. "She said.
"What?" I couldn't help but have a happy time in my voice .
"Sadly yes....she has been missing for about two years, we have been looking for her since the morning we knew of her escape. I didn't want to tell you and put you up to another search since the other seemed to wear you down. "
"No! ...I mean...it's fine! I'll leave right now! " "At least take some supplies link, it may take a while. " She handed me a Bag with supplies in it. " Thank you princess... I will be back soon. "
"Please be back, I think your the only one who can find her...my guard have had little success for two years. It's actually very sad. " She said with frown.
"Please be safe. And then turn her in. " I cringed at the thought again.
"Ugh...yes...I guess."
"What was that?"
"Uhm nothing Zelda. "
"Oh, ok link. Just know you are my hero. "She said with a smile. I felt my heart sink.
"Good luck." She said leaving.
I waited in the silence again. As soon as I knew Zelda wasn't here anymore, I broke down. I gripped Eponas reins and put my head to hers.
"I'm not a hero...what have I done... Why can't I stop hurting now!!!" I screamed that a little loud, but I didn't care. I only cared about her. I needed to find her...
But where is she? Don't know ...but I'll find her. Is she ok? Hopefully. Does she still know me? Of coarse, your the one who turned her in and had her locked up, but now she's gone. If I find her ...what will she do?
....I sighed sadly. I looked out and saw the sun high in the sky. Guess I'll have to find out. I said as I started up Epona and she rode out.
