-Time skip night -
I kissed my father goodbye in the cheek as he handed me my cloak.
" I'll be back by Tomorrow's dawn , stay safe. " I said putting the hood over my head as I began to walked away.
"Wait! Tori! "He called before I got far.
I spun around and looked at him,"yes dad?"
"Take this..." He walked up to me and shakily reached into his pocket. He pulled out a curved knife that was a nicely Mae yet I knew it's been in battles before due to the damages and chips in its blade. I took it sweetly and held the handle tightly. " I love you dad, forever and always"
"Right back at cha tattoos! " He said hugging me.
" Tattoos? Really? " I asked with a laugh
" Ya it suits my little thief! Haha" he said laughing
"Ok ok tattoos it is, I'll see you soon dad. " and with that I put my knife in my satchel and tied it around my waist as I dashed across the pavement rubble streets. I saw the castle, right in view... Wait. What am I doing?! I can't rob the castle! That's insane! I have to start small...then when my powers are high I'll go. I stopped and looked around , I spotted a merchant traveling, rich guy style. I glared at him. I saw him pass by a guy, he was poorer than me! He sat on the bench and begged the merchant for money.
" Please kind sir...I just some food, can you spare a sliver of bread? " He said in a sad raspy voice.
He looked at the man and smirked
" Ya but you are a peasant and I'm a merchant. It's your fault for not being talented. " he said walking away with his horse and bags of food and rubies and gold. I took out my knife and watched as he began to descend deeper into kingdom. Guards..? Nowhere. Sweet.
I walked swiftly behind the horse, making my move closer and closer until I had my hand in one of his goods. I smirked at his ignorance to me. As the horse trotted faster, I had to pick up pace to keep from falling while taking the food and coins. I brought out my satchel as I walked and lightly put in food one at a time, it was filled with bread ,fresh fruits and vegetables that smelled so good I almost drooled. Finally, I filled my sack and took out another. The other one tied to my waist. In the distance i saw the castle getting closer, I began to stuff faster because I knew more people and Guards were here. Finally I had what I came for. A sack of riches and food. I smiled closing the travelers bags as I stopped walking. The horse got smaller and smaller with every feet crossed. I smiled widely looking at the food and gold.
"I did it father...were gonna be fine." I said quickly running back to the house in the dead of the dark night. I passed my the man on the bench again, he was half asleep. He saw me and I smiled walking over to him and sitting next to him.
"Hey, I'm tori..I'm sorry about that man and how he acted. " I said
" No need..I deserved it. " He said sadly
" no one deserves the way he talked to you. Here.." I took out my sack of food.
"You seem hungry." I pulled out a loaf of warm bread and an apple.
His eyes went wide. " Miss..I-I don't know what to say...thank you so much! "
I smiled
" No need, it's the least I can do."
He smiled wider, " Peter, my name is Peter brim head . " he said taking the bread and apple. " and now I'm forever in your debt me lady! " he said nicely
" Please, it's ok. "
"Wait, why do you where the cloak? It's not that cold. " He asked.
I sighed" Peter...I not an average elf...at least not anymore. " I took off my hood and showed him the tattoos.
He looked at the marks and I could see he was trying to figure out why.
" You see...I have to wear this now. If I don't I don't know what others might say or do. And that's not all..." I stopped
" You have to promos Peter...you can't tell anyone. " I said getting serious.
"Who's to tell. I don't have friends or live near the palace. And I'm in your debt now, so i can't. "
I breathed out and took out my hand. I summoned the Lightning and my hand heated again. Silver danced and sparked, Peter looked at it is daze.
"Woah...that's amazing! " he said staring at it.
"Ya I know. It's dangerous though...I'm dangerous. That's why I can't show others what I look like now, or else they might not be as calm as you. " I said quietly.
We'll miss tori. You now have an ally. " he said nicely.
