While Line Up was very critical of Korean society as a whole, Hope was meant to be something uplifting. Something that reminded the youth to not give up in life, that they weren't alone in this tough world. It asks everyone to support each other into one large community and create something positive to the world. It called the need to end hatred and violence to the world and be with everyone at peace.

As expected Heejun and Kangta were masters at songwriting. Of course these were some emotions they and the boys were feeling. With the financial crisis still at large, it's causing people to lose their jobs and an increase mistrust and hostility has caused a rise in unhappiness. H.O.T continued to live their reputation as the voice of a new generation of Koreans. Koreans that have grown up in transition from military dictatorship to full fledged democracy. They no longer wanted the government dictate how they live their life and Lil Rain was a part of that youth.

The music video recorded with some help from Boah's brother Soonhwon as it displayed an awful tragedy with a young teen played by Woohyuk, a victim of collision crash. The individual boys expressed their frustrations by grieving for their injured friend. Another shot showed a nun at a local Catholic church being distressed while the boys sat down and pray.

Jang Nara appears as wedding recipient along with Jihoon. Another shot showed Jiyong dealing with the struggle of dealing with terminal cancer. In an alternate shot showed Woohyuk's lover trying to recover from an unknown illness. In short the video perfectly displayed the struggles the average Korean goes through in life. Faith and Joy are the main themes for the video as the ultimate weapon to overcome anything in life.
