*Christmas Eve, 1994*

Y/n's POV

I fell into the front yard of my uncles old house. And santa was on the roof. It was the same Christmas Eve my uncle became santa Clause. Then, Scott and Jack fell behind the snowman me and Charlie had built that same night, and I watched them scrap.
Jack threw snow into my uncles face and made a beeline for the front of the house.
"Hey, you!" Jack yelled.
Oh god. Jack wants to become santa Clause. Not on my watch.
I ran over to my uncle.
"Uncle Scott, are you okay?" I asked him.
"Y/n?!?! What are you doing here?!?!" He said.
"I'm a part of this to, you know?" I said.
Then, santa slid off of the roof, and the suit became empty, and just the suit now lay on the ground. Jack went to get it, but my uncle tackled him to the ground.
"Get off me, blubber ball!" Jack squirmed.
I ran to get the suit, but Jack created ice on the ground, and I slipped and hit my head on the floor.
"I will not let you put on that coat!" My uncle said.
"Oh, yeah? Watch me!"
"Don't even think about it, Jack!" I butted in.
My uncle ran around the snowman until BONK! Jack hit my uncle in the face with a snow shovel.
"Ouch!" I winced. I ran over to my uncle, laying on the ground.
Jack finally got to the suit, picked it up, put it on, and adjusted the belt.
"You hit me with a shovel!" My uncle said, sitting up in the snow with me sat beside him.
"Adios, fatty!" Jack spat. He had the coat on. Golden sparks surrounded and took him as the new santa clause.
"No, Frost, NO!" I yelled. But he was already gone.
My uncle and I disappeared into golden dust and ended up somewhere else in time.

*Christmas Eve....now.*

My uncle was in his work office, and I was asleep on his office couch.
I opened my eyes to my uncle with no belly and no beard. I gasped.
"Uncle Scott?"
"Y/n? What are you doing here?" Scott asked.
"The escape clause!" I said, standing from the couch.
"Huh?" Scott said.
"Jack got the coat!" I said. Then, my uncle ran to a mirror and saw he was himself, Scott Calvin, no longer santa.
"Oh no!" My uncle said.
My uncle and I walked around the corner and saw another work office.
"Okay, the Mississippi factory needs to know if we want them to 10,000 units or 20,000. They won't ship tomorrow because it's christmas, but they will ship Thursday, which means... " A man in the office spoke to us.
"Excuse me, they're not gonna ship tomorrow because it's christmas?" My uncle questioned.
"Yes, sir!" The man said.
"This is christmas Eve?" I asked in shock.
"Yes, y/n!" The man said.
"What are you doing here? Why are we working?" My uncle asked.
"We always work christmas Eve!" My man stated.
"We do?"
"Of course!" The man said.
"Well, that...that's ridiculous! Christmas Eve is when you spend time with your family." I stated.
"Where's our family tonight?" My uncle asked.
"I really don't know, Mr. Calvin!" The man said.
"What do you mean?" I asked the man.
"Well, you rarely see them, and you don't mention them." The man said.
My heart dropped, and I think my uncles did as well.
"Where are my car keys?" My uncle asked.

20 minutes later.

We got my uncles car keys and drove his car all the way to Laura's house. We pulled up outside and rang the doorbell.
Laura answered.
"Hey!" My uncle said, smiling.
"Hey, Laura!" I said.
"What are you two doing here?" Laura asked. She didn't seem to be happy about us being there.
"Well, we just came over to see..." I trailed.
"See what?" Laura asked.
"Why on earth would you drag yourselves all the way over here?" Laura asked.
"Is that Derek?" A familiar voice came.
"No. And you're not going out tonight!" Laura said. It was Charlie.
"Yeah, okay. What are they doing here?" Charlie said.
"We came over to see you, Char!" I said, shortening his name.
"Why?" He asked.
"Cause we don't see each other enough!" Scott said.
"What?" Charlie asked.
"Come on, Charlie!" One of his friends called to him from the car.
"I'm outta here!" Charlie said, bumping my shoulder as he walked out of the door.
"Oh, come on, Charlie. It's christmas Eve!" Laura said.
"Like either of us care, mom?" Charlie said, rolling his eyes.
"Charlie." My uncle called.
"What?" He said.
"Come back here. Charlie!" My uncle called. Laura face-palmed.
"Goodnight, Scott!" Laura said, closing the door.
"Wait, wait, wait!" Scott said, holding the door open.
"Can you help us find Carol?" Scott asked.
"Carol?" Laura asked.
"Carol Newman!" I said.
"Carol Newman, the principal of Charlie's school, Carol Newman?"
"Yeah. Do you know where she is?" Scott asked.
"I don't know. She moved away. Ran out of local kids to terrify, I guess. I don't know!" Laura said.
"What is the matter with you two?" Laura asked us.
"Niel. Niel and Lucy, they'll understand. Where are they?" I asked.
"At the North Pole!" Laura answered.
"What?"
"What?" My uncle and I asked in unison.
Laura grabbed a magazine advertising something and handed it to me.
"Yeah. The North Pole!" She said.
The magazine said,'The North Pole Resort.' Frost, that son of a...
"Frost." My uncle snapped me from my thoughts.
"What?"
"Frost. He turned the North Pole into a theme park!" I said, holding up the advertisement in disgust.
"Niel has been taking Lucy to the North Pole ever since he and I got our divorce, remember?" My heart dropped yet again. Laura and Niel divorced???
"Divorce?" My uncle asked.
My uncle and I started to walk to the car.
"Are you sure you should be driving?" Laura asked.
"We're gonna make everything okay! Y/n and I are gonna make everything better." My uncle said, pointing a finger.
"Yeah. Okay." Laura said, closing the door.

-time skip-
2 hours later.

My uncle and I were on a plane, taking us to the North Pole. I got a strange sensation in my stomach.
"What's wrong, y/n?" Scott asked me.
"I'm worried about Bernard!" I said.
"Don't worry, alright? He's probably at this happy-go-lucky theme park where we're going! And if he is, you'll see him! I promise!" My uncle said.
I smiled and nodded and shook it off. How bad could this possibly be...?
