Chapter One- You Left Me With These Broken Lies

******2 years later****

"Happy birthday Athenaaaa....Happy birthday Athenaaa...Happy 19th Birthday Athenaaaaa..Happy birthday to you!" I heard annoying voices from my parents. "Goodmorning you! You're 19 today!! Yayy Hopefully Jesus gets in your life this year!" I put my blankets over my head and just wanted to go back to sleep. "Wake me up at 1:00...I want to sleep please..." I felt my sheets go off me and i just sat down on my bed. "Get ready...we're going to church..." I looked at my mom with a death glare. "Your kidding....I don't feel good....I'l just skip this one..." I felt a tight grip on my arm and i was soon being dragged by my step father to the bathroom. "YOU ARE GOING TO CHURCH WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT" He turned on the cold water and just threw me in. I realized that i was wearing my good pair of jeans and i saw the water turning blue. "THANKS ASSHOLE!!" I got out and shut the door. It was clear that my parents were getting sick of me. I felt bad. Like in that moment i felt useless and like if they had regret adopting me...I remember times like these i just used to run off to The Brick house with that blue roof....now i just go to a fucking razor-blade...I wanted to forget that one night but its so fucking hard. I just turned the hot water off and took a cold shower.  

Once I was out i looked at the mirror and i felt so worthless..Like if i had just disappointed my parents....no wonder my real ones set me up for adoption. I just felt so alone. I looked threw the bathroom drawers and scanned for a blade. I finally came across with something sharp and slit my wrist a couple of times. The blood was oozing out and I just wiped it off. I wrapped a bandage around the cuts and just wrapped myself in the towel. I looked around and then at the mirror again...I ran to my room and shut the door closed. Once I was there I scanned my room. It was mostly filled with Black Veil Brides Posters And a couple of Kiss And Pierce the Veil ones....I'm so fucking pathetic...I love a band that one of my old crush left me to built. I turned on the legacy and just jammed out to that. I started to think what I always did. What if he hadn't left me....what if we did run away together. I took my hidden candy bars from under my bed and shoved in in my face. Right after I just went to the bathroom and threw them up... I looked threw my clothes and just put on a long sleeve shirt and some ripped jeans. My Mom started to knock on my door. I just opened it."Come down stairs....I have something for you!"

I followed her downstairs and there was nothing.  She looked happy....I looked at my dad and he just gave me an envelope. "Happy 19th Birthday Athena...Hopefully this will help you with life and its amazing wonders that god made" I took the envelope and it was a check....5K....I looked at my parents and they looked terrified of my reaction. "W-what....there has to be a catch right?" They shook their heads. "Just cause you give us bad moments doesn't mean that your not our daughter" They had the cheesiest smiles....something was up...They did something. "Thanks haha...  I really appreciate it" My mom then brought a bag. "Can you try this on please!....I thought you would like it...." I opened it and it was a dress.It was a one strap blue dress and i immediately had to think of how to hide my wrist. "U-um of course..." I ran up to my room and opened the bag. The dress was beautiful but I was still concerned about a way to hide my situation I looked threw everything and just found a shoelace. I wrapped that around my wist covering up all the scars and popped in the dress. I walked downstairs To where my parents where. "You look daring!....you should take it to church!!" I looked at my mom. "Mom please don't...." She gave me a death glare and just rolled her eyes. "Fine but you better clean up and do the laundry...." 

It was obvious that she

1-Gave me the money to move out.
2.Let me stay so that she wouldn't be embarrassed in front of her friends at church and
3.Got me the dress to think she was being nice and not to suspect of 1 and 2... 

"Take off that nasty shoe lace from off your arm Athena....it ruins the dress..." I felt my body get cold in fear. "N-no.....i like it....it gives it a cool accessory y'know..." She took a closer look. "Athena whats that on your arm?"  I hid my arms behind my back so that she wouldn't examine it anymore. "ATHENA MONGRAGON YOUR ARMS NOW...." My father yelled as he walked closer to me. "U-umm...Imma go change!" I ran upstairs and changed to my normal clothes and when i opened it my parents were outside waiting. "ARMS NOW....It better not be what it looks like or your out...." My mom looked at my dad. "Ohh Charles what will our friends say!...Is there anything else?....you look skinny too!....Do you have bulimia or are you anorexic?" I just looked down. "Please....just help me..."

I was kind of shocked that they cared more about their reputation than me. I wanted to get better. I needed their support but they didn't give it to me. I immediately thought that they were gonna take me to a priest or an AA meeting considering the fact that they were idiots. My dad took my wrist as I let out moans of pain. 

"ATHENA PACK YOUR CASES...." In front of his eyes laid arms with scars on them...My mother looked at me with disgust and just slapped me to the bed. "How could you sin against god like this!! ATHENA Just go please...I'll double the money but I just can't take it....We've tried being nice and that didn't work.....just go pack your things.When we come back from church I don't want to see you here...." 

They left and closed the door shut. I saw them get in the car and I was fucked...I had no clue where to or what to start in... I just sat on my bed and cried....I wanted help not to get kicked out...what the hell was I gonna do....
