Y/n had to make an appearance at Reki, Haruto, and Itsuki funerals. At first, she didn't want to show up, but Takemichi managed to talk her into it no matter how hard she fought to stay home as the day of their death played over in her head with every waking moment
"Now is the time to say a few words for your loved ones" the pastor looked back at the caskets behind him with a saddened look. Usually, funerals would be much different in Japan
Instead, y/n's parents pushed it to be more Americanized
Y/n blinked a couple of times, breathing in a shaky breath as a tear slid down her face, luckily this went unnoticed by everyone present as a black veil was blocking her features
"Will anyone like to speak?" He asked again, looking around at all the guests until his eyes lingered on you
Feeling pressured to say something, y/n stood up, smoothing out her ruffled black dress that dragged on the ground as she walked to the podium. Y/n glanced up, seeing Takemichi staring up at her
"My brothers..-" y/n bit her lip feeling her throat tightening. "My brothers weren't the best, but they were always there.." y/n took another pause with her voice trembling
"Itsuki, of course, left when I was young, so I didn't expect him to be so- so brave in the end."
Y/n looked around at her friends and family, "My brothers took bullets for me.. so that I could be here today, and for that.. I'll be forever thankful" she cracked a smile before walking back to her seat wiping the tears that fell

"Sorry to keep you guys waiting," Naoto said as Takemichi looked up from his phone while Y/n kept a frown, one that never seemed to disappear after watching her siblings being lowered into the ground
Even if y/n knew she had the chance to change their fates, it still didn't take away her pain
"I got worried when I didn't hear anything back from you," Takemichi exclaimed while Naoto glanced at y/n, noticing how unusually reserved she was
