Chapter 10 let me reach you.

After running away kyo stopped. They both died because of me.
Star: if that were true... if i really believed it... it would be crushing. But...
Akito slowly walked up to star as she stared at her. Too late. It's too late. Akito mumbled. Akito. But why? Star whispered still watching akito walk slowly towards her. It's over. The end is here. Akito continued to mumble slowly walking up to star.
Kyo: i'm disappointed in you.
Star: but worse in that moment... were his eyes. Half-hidden behind his coppery hair, they were screaming so loudly: i'm sad. I'm sad. I'm sad." that was the most crushing thing of all. It made my heart ache. Even more than thoughts of mom.
It's over. So what now? Will you throw me away? Abandon me?

Star saw her mother's spirit behind akito making her eyes widen and water. I know how it feels to be left behind. Are you happy? You supplanted me, stole my place. Now i'm the outsider, the outcast. Because they all like you best. Does that feel good? Star gasped at akito question.

Star: akito. I finally found you.
Star ran up to akito about to hug her but akito sliced at her cutting her arm. Stay back! You make me sick! Akito shouted as star stepped back holding her injured arm.
Star: I've been so thoughtless. How could I have not realized it? Akito!
Star raised her hand towards akito slowly making akito gasp. Get back! Akito shouted, swinging the knife at star.
Star: all this time... you've been so lonely, but couldn't let anyone see. From the beginning, even since she was born, she was treated as "special." as somebody who's above the circle instead of part of it. But... that's just a different form of abandonment.
I understand now. Why do you talk so much about eternity and an unchanging future? You say those things because... you're scared. You're terrified of being alone! Star said, making akito drop the knife she charged at her and slapped her across the face. Shut up! *slap*You know nothing! *slap* Nothing! *slap* you condescending brat. Star grabbed akito wrist stopping her. Please, wait! Star said then akito ripped her grip off her wrist. No, i'm done! It's too late. Don't you understand that? Aktio grabbed star's collar of her shirt. This world is unrecognizable. There are no promises or bonds, no hope of eternity, and i'm scared. I can't live surrounded by strangers. Alone, without any guarantee that i'll be loved. I can't. The world scares me. Akito said in her mind while star stared at her. Well, in that case, what if you begin again with me? Aktio gasped at star words. Here. now. Aktio let go of star's collar and looked at her. We met the wrong way. Let's start over. Star held up her arm that aktio slashed.
I'll go first. Sup. my name is star takashi. Star gave akito her cheeky smile with her hand out for her to shake. Tell me, what's your name? Aktio blinked staring at star's hand. Maybe we could be friends. I'd like that. Star said still smiling. Aktio frowned then slapped her hand away. Liar! You don't mean it. The second i cry, you'll decide you've had enough. If i complain, you'll get mad. You'll stop liking me and throw me out of your life. Aktio said making star smile softly still holding her hand out. Aktio sat alone while the other zodiac members conversed on the other side of the room. There you are. Akito looked up at to see star sitting next to her. I finally found you.
Akito looked up at star then went to shake her hand but her hand moved away from her due to the ground breaking underneath her making her fall backwards. Akito's eyes widen seeing her fall. Star's eye went into pure shock as she realized she was falling.
Star: tell me, what's your name? Maybe we could be friends. I'd like that.
Akito stared in horror seeing star lay on the ground not moving. Please... don't cry anymore.
Oh, no. Someone, help! Someone! Anyone! Come quickly! Help! Akito shouted running to get help for star.
Star: Akito, please... don't cry. It's alright. Everything's all right. The scary times are over. You made it.
Akito ran into shigure staring at him as she clung to him. Whoa. i wasn't expecting to see you here. Shigure said. Please. Help her. Hurry. She's hurt. She needs help. She fell... from... from up on the cliff. So far down. So far... what do i do? She's not moving. She's so... so still. Akito explained. Akito, slowly now. Calm as you can. Who fell? Tell me. Shigure asked, holding akito's hand. St... star. Akito said, making yuki gasp. Okay. Where was she? That way. Straight back. Akito said, pointing in the direction they were at. Shigure, I'm calling for help. Meet them when they get here. Yuki said, running in the direction Akito pointed. What do we do? She won't move shigure! What do we do? Akito asked frantically. Akito, did you push her? Shigure asked seriously. (gasps) no. I didn't. I didn't! Really. I don't know why. The ground... it just crumbled, out of nowhere. But i... i did hurt kureno. I stabbed him. Akito explained.
Yuki walked up to where star and tohru's tent was caught in a landslide.
Hatori. It's me. Uh-huh. What's going on at the main estate? Akito is actually at my place. Yes here. I heard. How is he? I see. Well, we've got an emergency on our hands, too. No, akito is fine. It's star. Akito looked up and saw kyo standing by in front of her. Yeah. it seems she fell of a cliff. Shigure's words made kyo gasp. He then ran to where he thinks star is. Right. Okay. i'll call back when i know more. Shigure said hunging up the phone. He then puts his suit jacket on akito's shoulders. Good news. He says kureno will live. Shigure says sitting next to akito. She started to cry then started sobbing.
Kyo ran towards yuki and star. Once he made it he was breathing heavily as he saw star laying there on the ground not moving and yuki kneeling beside her. Yuki stood up as kyo started walking towards them. Kyo stared at star with horror seeing her arm had blood on it staneing her shirt. Star. kyo said, walking closer to her, dropping to his knees. About to move her head towards him. Don't move her. Her head, she probably hit it hard. Yuki said, making kyo gasp as he got some of her blood from the back of her head on his hand. Wait. this can't be happening. Kyo hovered over her. It's wrong. It's... all wrong. This isn't what I wanted. You can't go. Stay with me. Star. kyo said as his tears fell on star's face.
Star: don't cry. Please... don't cry anymore. Wait... who's crying? Akito? Kyo? Oh, right. I have to go after kyo. I have to find him. And when i do, i'll tell him, "I love you so much." everyday, i feel grateful we met.

Maybe all it brought you was frustration and pain, but the time we've had together has made me so happy. Your awkward kindness. Your blushes. Your smile. Your shy looks. They all made me so, so happy. And little by little, over time, they became precious. My treasures. I realize, now, that day in the rain, I chased you so desperately because I was already in love with you. And that love made the thought of losing you unbearable. Being near me hurt you. My feelings hurt you. I know that... but it will be okay. So please, don't cry anymore. Everything ends eventually. Happy times. Fun times. But scary and sad times, too. They will pass. Star raised her hand to kyo's face, turning her head, making him gasp at her touch. Star, you're... kyo trailed off.
It's okay... I promise. Kyo... it's all going to be okay now. Star said with a smile on her face.
Star: Can you hear me? Am I reaching you? Please.
Star closed her eyes again, passing out. Never mind. It's all right. Kyo held star's hand and put it over her stomach holding his hand over hers. I get it. It's all right. No need to talk.

Star: Let me reach you.
