“We will look after him.” Macau said after him together with Kyoto arrived to the Minor Family’s mansion.
The guards and subordinates were appointed to guard the whole house as they are worried that Venice could be the next target. Venice was only standing on the corner, his keeps intertwining his finger and tries to scratch them hard.
“Are you sure that you didn’t mess with anyone?” Maze asked Pete when he noticed that he was not talking at all.
“We didn’t.” Vegas replied shortly and glances on Pete who isn’t answering at all but only staring blankly.
All of them where very cautious of the words that will come out from their mouths. Even Vegas who was in ranger tries to keep his cool. A silent version is Pete is another term for hell is coming to Earth in no time. It is much dangerous than Vegas’ madness or to anyone’s crazy idea.
“The last people you had problems with were Arlo and Ali, right?” Maze asked and looked at Macau when he mentioned Arlo’s name. Maze laugh a little when Macau rolled his eyes. “All in the past. They are dead already… isn’t Kael?” He suggested as he tries to help them.
“We never heard anything about him.” Vegas comb his hair and put the gun on his waist.
Venice who heard Kael’s name couldn’t help but to takes a step forward. “Who is Kael?”
Vegas looked at him when he saw how curious Venice was. He doesn’t usually ask about someone that it is surprising that he will ask about it.
“Someone from the past.” Vegas answered him. “We will leave first to find them. Stay here and don’t ever…don’t go outside, okay?”
Venice fell silent. He hides his already wounded fingers under his shirt and nodded. After Vegas and Pete left, Maze also decided to guard outside in case that someone will attack them.
“Venice should take a rest.” Macau said while carrying the sleepy head Kyoto.
The young Venice stare at the door, with his lonely and anxious eyes that can no longer hide the worry he is feeling.
What if those people who left that door close will never comeback? What if Paris and Florence won’t comeback?
What if at the end of the day, it is only him that will survive?
“Venice. Venice.” Macau tried to get his attention and to make sure that he will come back to his senses. “Trust your Pa Pete and Pa Vegas. They will bring Paris and Florence back.” His uncle assures him. “Do you want to eat?”
Venice remove his eyes on the door way and smiled a little. “I’ll stay in my room.”
“If you need something and if you find anything suspicious then tell me.”
Every step Venice takes were like stones that are getting heavy as he continues. He can no longer think if he should take a step forward or run and follow his parents. The feeling of discomfort was overflowing that he couldn’t help but to worry about his siblings.
Venice tries to take a deep breath but he can feel a clump of unexplainable thing on his throat that stops him to breath comfortably. His lips were dry as he continues to bite his fingernails.
When he heard Kael’s name… that is the time that the young Venice knew that he did something wrong. If his Uncle Maze said that his parents once had a conflict with Kael, it also means that he put everybody in danger by having the flash drive.
