Chapter 6

When Yeji entered her apartment later that night and looked at her phone for the first time in a few hours, she's not really surprised to see masses upon masses of messages from her group chat with Jisu and Lia. She opens the chat and it automatically scrolls her back up to the first message out of the seeminly hundreds they sent in the past few hours.       

Her eyes bulge out at a photo of Yeji staring lovingly at Ryujin while the other isn't looking.

Shit.

jisu: ur trending on twitter

yuna: ive seen this pic on twt more times than ive seen lia today

jisu: has our dearest yeji already fallen in love? 🥺

yuna: u look like ur ready to marry her tbh

yeji: @yuna werent you with jisu the whole day?

yuna: yeah exactly

jisu: @yeji HOW WAS UR DATE?

yuna: YES PLEASE SHARE

jisu: did u guys do anything else aside from the restaurant?

yeji: it was fine

jisu: just fine? 😏

yuna: hmmmm? 😏

Yeji has to physically hold herself back from stomping to Jisu's apartment and giving them an earful.

yeji: yes it was fine, but im gonna go to bed. im sleepy

jisu: WAIT no??? thats not enough details???

yuna: let her sleep babe, you'll see her on campus anyway

jisu: hmm

jisu: fine.. gn yeji aka ryujins girlfriend (fake)

yuna: gn yeji!! <3

yeji: goodnight

Yeji falls asleep not too long after.

It's about 3 days later when Ryujin contacts Yeji again.

They haven't talked since their first date when they bid each other goodbye.

During this time, Yeji's been going about her days doing her usual routine.

Wake up. Go to campus. Study. Sleep. Repeat.

But now there's the addition of random people going up to her and asking her about Ryujin.

"Does she have a comeback soon?"

"Will she be going on tour?"

"Can you get her autograph for me?"

"Is it true she smells tangerines?"

Yes, yes, no and yes but Yeji never answers any of the questions they ask. Instead diverting and shooting out a quick "I don't know, sorry!" before fleeing.
