Chapter 1~

**Saffron's POV**

I drove steadily along the busy motorway, vehicles cruising along beside me. My brown eyes fixed on the road in front of me, concentrating. I quickly glanced down at the passenger's seat beside me, and grabbed hold of the stack of papers resting there. As I drove on my eyes quickly skimmed over the handwritten directions, describing to me the best route to find the studio. Today was a big day for me, no - a massive day. Only just weeks ago I had auditioned for the job of one of the backing dancers for none other than The Wanted. Two days ago I had received a letter telling me that I'd got the job along with instructions on how to reach the studio where I'd meet the rest of my team, and hopefully, the boys. Back then I had been overjoyed with the news, now my stomach was just in turmoil with nerves. As I slowly made my way into town, I looked at my watch worriedly, the traffic was terrible and I didn't want to be late, I wanted to make a good first impression. I'd been told to arrive at the studio at half eleven this morning, and it was now twenty past. I had ten minutes, and I wasn't too sure where I was either, which didn't bode well. Eventually I crawled my way out of the busier parts of the city and headed down a little side road, as told to do so by the directions. Finally I came to a halt outside a tall, intimidating looking building, with about five minutes to spare. I quickly checked myself over in the mirror inside my car, large chocolate brown eyes stared out at me and my medium brown hair, streaked with a few subtle gold highlights, tumbled down around my shoulders. I scraped it neatly back into a high ponytail, took a deep breath to try and calm my nerves, grabbed my bag from the back seat and stepped out into the mid morning light. I walked through the automatic glass doors and after a swift conversation with the secretary there, she pointed me in the right direction with a cheerful smile. I walked up a spiralling wooden staircase until I reached the top floor and knocked gently on the second door to the left, waiting nervously.

**Nathan's POV**

Someone knocked tentatively on the door, it must be the new dancer, I thought to myself, we weren't waiting for anyone else. It would be exciting to see what she's like, the boys and I didn't get to see her when she first auditioned, so we had no idea what to expect.

"Come in!" Jay shouted cheerily, and as the door slowly opened I took my first look at her. She was pretty, there was no doubt about that, tall, with long thin legs and arms,  light brown hair with a few faint blonder highlights which was caught back in a ponytail, although some strands had become loose and fell around her heart shaped face, and she had big, wide chocolate brown eyes with flecks of gold. She shot us all a small smile, and I could tell from the way she held herself and clasped her hands tightly in front of her that she was extremely nervous.

"Hey," Jay said, flashing her a grin,

"Hello," she replied back, biting her lower lip anxiously. Then the rest of us introduced ourselves to her,

"So what's your name then? I asked her, as she settled down in an armchair opposite us, I noticed that she sat up very straight, making her seem taller, with very good posture, but I suppose she'd would sit like that, wouldn't she? With being a dancer.

"I'm Saffron," she said in a soft, gentle voice, "although some people tend to call me Saff, just call me whatever suits you, I don't mind." She added, relaxing and opening up a bit more. We got a good conversation started and she came across as a really nice girl, down to earth, funny, yet quite shy. I could tell we were going to get along great with her.

**Saffron's POV**

So far everything has gone really well, I don't know what I was nervous about, but the butterflies vanished as soon as conversation started. They're a really nice bunch of lads. The other backing dancers, my new colleagues, came in just then and introduced themselves to me, they were very nice as well, so sweet, and after saying my goodbyes to the boys I went out of the room with the rest of the girls and we got straight down to work on choreographing a routine to go with some of the boys' songs for their next tour. It was hard work, but fun as well, anyway, this is what I've always wanted to do - dance. I can't imagine doing anything else. I've also made some good friends with the other backing dancers, there aren't many of us, but I think that's what makes our friendship better. There's Lara, Ellen, Alice, Tanya and Grace, so all together that makes six of us and we work away just fine. After a long afternoon filled with busy hours and lots of laughs, it's time to head home. "Come on Saffron!" Tanya calls after me, "We're going to say bye to the boys, come with us!" I hadn't realised that the band had stayed here all afternoon, we met them in the reception area and as Nathan came up to give me a goodbye hug, I felt the strangest sensation, like electricity flowing through my body and pulsing out through my fingertips. As I looked up into Nathan's green eyes I felt butterflies in my stomach, but they weren't the usual nervous kind - this was something else. I felt myself blush and as I hastily said goodbye to everyone I walked out into the cool, evening air. My drive home was troubled as I tried to come to conclusions with my feelings. Was I in love with Nathan? No, that couldn't be possible, I've only known him for a day for goodness sake, yet something inside myself gnawed away at me, and as much as I didn't want to believe this, it was quite true. I was falling for Nathan Sykes. Deep down inside me I knew this was the truth, yet I didn't want to accept it, for this could only bring a whole load of trouble, couldn't it? A/N: Hello everyone, sorry its been a while since I've written anything. I'm sorry if this isn't very good, but thank you if you've actually taken the time to read this, I really appreciate it.
