Chapter 27: The Truth About The World

During their trip to the giant kingdom, Rimuru and Chloe were having a conversation with Lilith. Kanade was not partaking in the conversation, but she was paying attention. Sofia was asleep in Chloe's laps while Yoshino was looking out of the window of the carriage.

Lilith looked at Rimuru and Chloe and  how they were seating next to eachother "How did a nearly Omnipotent deity like yourself lower your standard to be with this goddess whose only at the level of a high ranking Deity?"

Rimuru looked at her and smirked "Because among all the beings in existence, she is the only one with the potential to reach my level. And I've known her the longest"

Chloe blushed at that. She turned to Lilith "You said that I'm only at the level of a high ranking deity. Is there a kind of level among the deities?"

"Yes actually. The higher realm are filled with deities of different kinds and each of them have an aspect they govern. They are grouped into four. Lower gods, High gods, Supreme gods and Elder gods. The lower gods are basically Demi gods and they serve the High gods. The High gods on the other hand serve the Supreme gods who are the overall rulers of the higher realm. The Elder gods holds as much authority as the supreme gods because they are the Personal guardians of the Miyuki. Miyuki is the absolute ruler of all the creation in the vast infinite multiverse" Lilith explained to her

"This Miyuki sounds interesting the more I hear about her. Have you met her before?" Rimuru asked

"Once when I first ascended to godhood. I thought I was strong then but meeting her made me realize how insignificant of a creature I am to her. Her gaze was enough to make me surrender my all to her. Honestly, the only other time I have ever felt that way was when I met you know who" Lilith told him

Rimuru understood who she was referring to but Chloe did not "Who do you mean by you know who?"

"No one you need to concern yourself about my love. Anyway Lilith, how did you accend into a deity?" Rimuru asked.

Lilith looked uncomfortable by the question but still answered "I don't like talking about it because it is a painful reminder of why I hate the deities"

Rimuru looked at her "I would like to know what they did to you to make you resent them so much"

Lilith sighed "it really isn't that special for you to know"

"But I would still like to hear it. I want to know more about the deities of this world before I can make my final decision" Rimuru told her

Lilith looked at him in confusion "What final decision are you talking about?"

"Whether to destroy all the deities in the world or to spare them. I originally came to this world to have fun but seeing that the deities influence not only spread to this world but to other worlds as well, I'm debating if it is a good idea to leave them be" Rimuru explained to her

Lilith gasped and looked at Rimuru with hope "Will you really erase the deities?"

"Yeah Rimuru. Do you plan to erase all the deities. Won't that affect the balance of the multiverse?" Chloe asked

"Nothing is set in stone yet. I still need to see this Deities with my own eyes before I can make my judgement" Rimuru told them

"What about goddess Miyuki? How do you plan to handle her?" Lilith asked him

Rimuru scratches his hair "That one is a tough question. I obviously won't lose to her in a fight, but I'm not sure I can beat her though. I guess I will only know when we meet eachother"

Lilith looked at Rimuru for sometime before she nodded "I guess I will explain my past history with the deities"

"If you don't mind" Rimuru said to her
