Shalnark x New Troupe Member Reader

Third person prospective

It was around three months before the attack on the auction that (u) joined the troupe so she was relatively new to the group that being said she was far from incapable she'd already accumulated quite the small fortune for the troupe in just her few months being part of the spider and was soon excepted by the members but being new to the troupe does have some challenges and that's why members should look after one another and shalnark took this responsibility upon himself

Shalnark prospective

"Hay who wants to play cards?" I offer holding up a deck of cards as Uvo is having his fun fighting the mafia who pursued us from the auction machi shizuku and Franklin circle up with me around as I start to deal out some cards and I catch a glimpse of (u) looking over at us and her eyes widen when she realizes I'm looking at her and she quickly looks away I smile a close eye smile "you wanna play too (u)?" I ask and she glances over to us "you should it'll be fun" machi encourages "the more the merrier" Franklin says and Shizuku nods "c'mon I'll deal you a hand" I grin scooting over making room for (u) and she reluctantly joins us sitting next to me and I hand her her cards and the 5 of us continue to play while in the background we can hear Uvo pummeling the mafia until the shadow beasts have arrived and then Uvo starts to have his fun

(U) prospective

"Uvo's getting serious" shalnark says hearing Uvo use his punch packer nen and I find myself nodding in agreement watching in amazement as Uvo bashes a shadow beasts head in "wow..." I utter under my breath "your turn (u)" shalnark laughs tapping my shoulder "oh ah- right sorry what number were we on?" I question with an apologetic smile scratching the back of my neck "12" machi tells me and my eyes glimmer "13!" I beam placing the card down "now way! Doubt!" Shalnark declares and i grim flipping over the card I placed into the pile showing him my card and he blinks in disbelief before sighing and pouts as he takes all the cards that'd been placed down into the pile "gee that didn't go in my favor..." he sighs and I smile "wanna trade hands?" I question as the others are taking there turns and shalnark looks at me in surprise for a moment before a bright smile beams across his face "that's alright" he laughs and I nod in understanding watching shizuku place her card before it's my turn agin and I hear Uvo take in a deep breath but then out of no where everyone drops there hand quickly covering there ears I look around at them in confusion and open my mouth to question them but my eyes widen as shalnark suddenly clasps his hands over my ears in confusion I try pulling away trying to pry his hands of the sides of my face but hearing the muffled boom of Uvo's shout ring threw my ears as shalnark has his eyes shut tightly in pain i realize what's happened and I watch in horror as blood drops from his ears

Suddenly the explosive sound in my ears goes silent and I open my eyes in a dazed confusion as (u)'s infront of me holding my face "what's wrong? Why do you look so scared?" I ask but my eyes widen not hearing my voice and it all comes to me in a flash and my ears start to ring in pain and I wince holding my hand to my ear before pulling back to stair at the blood on my hand and I realize that (u)s talking she's saying things but I can't hear her voice I watch her lips move without any sound coming out and then look back to her eyes to find she's tearing up "why are you crying?" I ask tho I can't hear my own question it seems that (u) can she doesn't respond only her eyes well with more tears and machi comes into my field of view tilting my head to the side so she can get a better look at my ear and I flinch back from her and machi shakes her head to (u)

(U) prospective

"I can't do anything about this but the good news is his ear drum didn't burst it only ruptured so he should be fine in time" machi explains to me as the others are shouting and scolding Uvo I nod in understanding but shalnark taps my forearm and I look over to him while machi goes off to help Uvo "what's happened?" Shalnark asks eyes full of worry and I force a smile he looks at me for a few seconds before nodding I help him to his feet and to the hot air balloon after it's been prepared and the entire way to the base shalnark is messing with his ears making small noises I'm assuming to see if he can hear himself
