Chapter Two- Shopping

When I get done with my shift, I go to the dress shop and start looking. I hope I can find something here. I don't even know what I'm looking for.

As I am going through dresses a woman walks up to me and she has a name tag. Must be one of the workers. She has dark brown hair with some gray spots. She looks to be in her forties or fifties.

She smiles at me and walks toward me. "Can I help you with finding something for your sugar?" I smile at her and nod, "Please. I have no idea what I am looking for."

She starts going through stuff and hands me some dresses. She then shoves me into the changing room. Ok then.

I first tried on a green lace dress with small straps to hold it up. I walk out to show the woman, she shakes her head and I walk back into the changing room.

After trying on a lot of other dresses and the woman, I now know her name is Macy, said no to all of them. I am now in the last dress I haven't tried yet.

I get the dress on and look at myself in the mirror before walking out. Wow. It's so beautiful. It's a draped gray silver blue sheer mesh corset with a high slit on my right leg. I'm obsessed.

I walk out of the stall and Macy looks at me in shock. "Oh my goodness you look so beautiful," she smiles. "I think this is the one I want." I smile at her.

She nods and goes to wait for me at the register. I walk back into the changing room and get back into my clothes from before.

I walk to the register with the dress in my hand. She puts the dress in a dress bag and tells me the price. "$587" I smile and swipe my card. She hands me my dress and I walk out of the shop.

I put the dress neatly in my car and start to go to a shoe store. I have enough money to get shoes and maybe some jewelry.

I get to the shoe shop and get inside. I go to look around and there are so many to choose from. I don't know what to look for to go with the dress.

I finally found some shoes. They fit perfectly. I walk up to the register with the shoes in my hand and check out. They are open-foot nude-ish heels with silver diamonds around the ankle and above the toes.

They were pretty expensive. I start walking out of the store with my shoes in hand in their box and walk to my car. I get my keys from my pocket and go to unlock the door but all of a sudden while I'm walking I bump into someone.

"Oh my gosh I am so sorry, I wasn't looking," I looked up at the tall figure I ran into. "It's ok I wasn't either," He chuckles, it's Liam from the cafe.

"You work at Marino's Cafe right?" He asks, looking down at me. I nod "Yeah I do. You're Liam right?" I question, he smiles and gives me a nod.

"Liam Gonzalez, I never got your name," I looked at him shocked. I push out my hand and shake his, "Amara Marino. I'm guessing you work at Gonzalez inc.," I questioned him.

"I do yes," He nods, "Ok I gotta go well anyway I hope to see you around, Amara," He walks off, the way he says my name is so sexy.

Shut up Amara you have a boyfriend, I tell myself in my head. I walk to my car and get in then start the engine. I drive home and quickly grab my stuff and go inside.

I could barely sleep last night. All I thought about was Liam. I need to stop and get myself together. As I just lying on my bed I hear a knock. Great.

I get up putting my bathrobe on since I only have on shorts right now. Sometimes you just gotta let the girls breathe. I walk to the door and open it.

It's Zuko, I smile and step aside so he can get in, and once he does I shut the door. I turn around to look at him and he immediately smashes his lips against mine. I kiss him back and wrap my arms around his neck and his hands on my waist.

He pulls away after about five minutes, "Hello to you too," I smile and he smiles back. "Did you get a dress?" He asks, "Yes I did. So when is the party anyway?" I question him.

I walk into the kitchen to make coffee and he follows. "The party is tomorrow, so tonight you're staying at my place so you can get your makeup and hair done by some people I hired," He smiles at me.

I grab two coffee mugs and pour coffee into them. I hand one to Zuko and he takes it. He then pulls me into his chest and hugs me.

"Go pack some stuff you're staying with me for a while," I nod and wait till he lets me go. I want to enjoy the moment.

After a while he finally lets me go and follows me to my room. He sits on my bed while I get a bag. I first take off my robe and get changed. He just watches me.

I just put on a hoodie and some simple jeans something simple.​​ Time to pack now.
