Welcome to my second "Alice in Borderland" fanfiction!
This fanfiction is based on the manga and Netflix series "Alice in Borderland". It's a combination of the two: some parts of the story are written after the manga, while others follow the Netflix series.
Explanation of Borderland
Borderland is a place where people are forced to play games that can result in death, otherwise they will die anyway when their visa expires. These games are categorized by symbol and difficulty, using the 52 cards in a poker set. The A stands for 1, then there's 2, 3, etc. The J, Q and K have the highest value.
The symbols indicate where the focus of the game rests upon:
Club ♣: Cooperation
Spades ♠: Physical challenge
Diamonds ♦: Intelligence/mental challenge
Hearts ♥: Psychological/betrayal/playing with feelings
When you have completed a game, you will receive a visa equal to the difficulty of the game. A card with 3 means 3 days of visa, a card with 4 means 4 days of visa, etc. When your visa expires and you do not participate in a game, you will receive a deadly laser shot through the head, forcing you to continue playing if you want to stay alive.
Fanfiction
In this fanfiction, existing characters from the manga and Netflix series are used, but the focus lies on characters created by me. The story may contain offensive scenes, language and games, so be aware of this.
Please be also aware of the fact that English is not my native language! This story is originally written in Dutch. I translated it to English. Please let me know if there are big errors that make the story unreadable, so I can change them.
