Chapter 10: the escape

We opened the door but it was too late.
She had gotten a grip of Wybie's foot.
She screamed ''You won't get rid of me this easily!''
I gasped while trying to pull Wybie in the tunnel.
And then, the cat ran up to us and said ''I promised I would help you stop her.'' he jumped on the other mother making her lose her grip on Wybie.

The other mother lost her eyes and hands.

The other world was destroyed so we closed the door as the cat came out.

We ran as wybie kept saying ''THE CAT CAN TALK?!?!''

''STOP TALKING AND ESCAPE WYBIE!'' I said as we were reaching the end.

We were in the real pink palace now so I closed the door and locked it.

Me and Wybie were laying down on the floor out of breath.

''So we made it out.... And another question.... SINCE WHEN CAN HE TALK?!?!'' Wybie said still not over it.

''I found out when I was in the other world. But I don't know since when.'' I said.

''Well, for a long time Wybie.'' he said as wybie was frozen.

''We need to destroy this key for good.'' i said.

''Then let's go destroy it.'' Wybie said with a smile of relief.

We were now in the garden.
''What do we do now?'' Wybie said.
''Remember when Mr. Bobinsky was in the garden? When you came over with your grandma?'' I said.
''Yeah why?'' Wybie said.
''He told me after I opened the door that the circus mice told him not too not go through the door. Just before you came here with your grandma he said that the mice said that I was a saviour. Maybe the rats can help us destroy it? Or even Mr. Bobinsky.'' I said.
''Well, let's give it a try.'' Wybie said.
''What do you think?'' I said looking at the cat.
He didn't talk this time. He nodded and ran off.
''Let's go then.'' I said.
We went up the stairs and knocked at Mr. Bobinsky's door.
''Hello! Mr.Bobinsky!?'' I said.
After a few tries he finally opened the door.
''Hello Caroline. And you.'' He said. He added
''Why are you guys here? You know that the mouse circus is not ready yet-''
''We need your help.'' Wybie said.
''For what?'' He asked.
''Where are the mice?'' I said.
''In here why?'' He asked again.
''Can we go see them?'' Wybie said.
''You may enter.'' He said opening the door at the maximum.
We went in and I asked
''And I have a question.''
''What is it Caroline?'' He said
''How can you speak to them?''
''What?'' He said.
''The mice.'' Wybie specified.
''Well, that's my little secret.'' He said
''Please tell us! It's urgent!'' I said
''They can.......talk.'' Mr. Bobinsky looked at us in regret.
''What! How can they talk?'' Wybie said.
''Wybie, we need to hurry up! Can you show us the mice?'' I said
''Yes.  MICE!'' He said.
The mice circled around me and Wybie.
''Settle down! They want to ask you something!''
They stopped turning. They sat down and looked at us.
''Do you know how to destroy this key? And stop her for good?'' I said looking at them.
''Destroy the key here. In the fire. She will burn and won't be able to come back.'' One of the mice said.
''Thank you.'' We both said.
''And remember, you have to make sure you have the intention to destroy her.'' Another mice said.
We walked up to the fire. I put the key in Wybie's hand.
''You should destroy the key.''
''You sure?'' Wybie said.
''Yes, I'm sure.'' I said with confidence that Wybie could do it.
He took a deep breath and closed his eyes. After that, he tossed the key in the fire.
He opened his eyes. The fire was making a lot of noise. It even started glowing green.
There was no key left.
It was gone.
She was gone.
