"i have something for you" Leoni told Octavia without looking at the girl as they walked through the city. the brunette had changed. her hair was tied up, she's had some tattoos done and she looked terrifying. Leoni was proud of her second now Skairippa.
"oh yeah." Octavia stated not looking at her mentor either. she had lost that glint of innocence in her eyes. they'd both lost the people who meant the most to them and it had destroyed them.
"you'll love it" Leoni looked at Octavia through the corner of her eye but the girl's expression didn't change
"i don't love anything anymore" Octavia clenched her jaw
"hey" Leoni grabbed Octavia's arm and pulled her down a narrow ally way so there was no one else. Leoni pushed Octavia at the wall holding both of her arms. Octavia avoided all eye contact with Leoni until the blonde slapped her across the face "look at me" Leoni demanded
"ow!" Octavia complained
"listen- wait are you wearing my clothes?" Leoni ran her eyes up and down the outfit she'd not long taken off

"ew that's embarrassing" the blonde screwed up her face
"exactly so you can see the appeal" Octavia pulled a disgusted face herself
"i mean you could've asked..." the commander tugged on different parts of the vest so it fit properly
"ok can i borrow your clothes" Octavia scoffed sarcastically
"ok that's- no that's- we got off topic, i said look at me"Leoni made sure Octavia looked her in the eye "it's ok to care about things" Leoni said softly letting her guard down
"you don't know what you're talking about-" Octavia laughed in frustration
"yes i do" Leoni cut off "because you taught me that." she said reluctantly and Octavia's face changed "you. you taught me that it's ok just to love things sometimes" Leoni sighed letting go of Octavia
"really..." Octavia relaxed
"well...yeah" Leoni shrugged awkwardly
"you love me Leoni Kane?" Octavia joked shoving the blonde's shoulder
