Chapter 9

*The next day*
*Y/N's POV*
I woke up earlier than expected so I just did my usual routine then headed downstairs to make breakfast for the others.
When I entered the kitchen,I saw that Emily was already there preparing pancakes.
She looked up and saw me.
"Oh,hey Y/N."She greeted me.
"Hi,good morning."I greeted back.
"You're up early."She remarked.
"Yeah,I'm also shocked."I just chuckled.
"Can I help?"I asked her.
She turned to me.
"Sure,just don't forget to wash your hands first."She agreed.

*A few hours later*
We arrived at the classroom only to be met with a disturbing sight.
It was Ni-ki chatting with the girl.
What's worse? She's on my seat as they are 'chatting'
'As much as I want to avoid them,its practically inevitable that I'm going to have to deal with them on the way.'I thought.
'Its fine.'I reminded myself.
I felt the other members' gaze on me.
"Are you alright?"Emily asked.
"Yeah."I lied.
"You can sit with m-"Faith tried to suggest.
"It's fine."I sternly said.
The others just went to their seats to avoid making me mad.
I just walked to my seat.
"Hi,sorry to interrupt your conversation but could I have my seat?"I tried to sound polite.
"Oh,sure!"She said.
"I'm sorry about that."She apologized.
"It's ok."I replied.
"There's an empty chair over there,you can just bring it here so you two can continue chatting."I told her with a small smile.
'What am I doing?'I thought.
"Oh,thank you."She said.
She went to the back of the classroom and retrieved the chair.
I just quietly sighed at my stupidity.
'At least he can be happy,right?'I thought.
I just put on my earphones and listened to music as they continued chatting.
Eventually,the girl had to leave so she stood up,returned the chair,then left the classroom.
A few minutes later,the teacher arrived so I put away my earphones.
"So class,today all of you will be performing a song that you'll dedicate to someone."He informed us about the activity.
"You have 30 minutes to think of a song to perform."He announced.
All of the class started thinking of what to perform.
I thought deeply then a certain song came to mind.
One by one,the teacher called us to sing after the 30 minutes was over.
Soon enough,it was my turn to sing.
"What song will you be singing?"The teacher asked.
"I will be singing a song in my native language so you might have a bit of a struggle understanding it."I replied.
"I will be singing,Pano by Zack Tabudlo."I added.
"Who do you dedicate this song to?"He asked.
"Someone from my past."I responded.

*Jungwon's POV*
SOMEONE FROM HIS PAST!?
That just increased the chances that Y/N is that person.
I'll need to learn what that song means.

*Y/N's POV*
"Okay,go."He stated.

As I finished singing,I felt a bit teary.
All of the memories were coming back.
I quickly bowed then sat down on my seat.
I secretly wiped a stray tear that escaped when I sat down.
Time passed by quickly and it was already lunch time.
We got out of class and started walking to the cafeteria.
"Y/N? Are you alright?"Elise asked in concern.
"Yeah,you look like your soul was taken."Luna said.
"I'm fine."I answered in an emotionless voice.
Luna visibly shivered and the others' concern just grew bigger.
We took a slight detour because Agatha needed to use the restroom.
After that,we continued on our way to the cafeteria.
As we entered the cafeteria,I caught a glimpse of Ni-ki happily chatting with her.
I immediately looked away to avoid feeling the pain I felt from that day not knowing a certain someone saw me looking.
I remember it clear as day.
The day I felt my heart break apart from each other.

*Jungwon's POV*
I grab my phone and hurriedly searched for the song Y/N sang earlier.
'Pano by Zack Ta| '
'What was the singer's name?'I thought.
I felt someone grab my phone and turned around to see Jay typing.
'Pano by Zack Tabudlo|'
He pressed enter and gave my phone back.
"Thanks."I thanked him,a slight blush appearing across my cheeks.
"You're welcome love."He replied.
I just blushed harder.
"Let's go?"He asked.
I just nodded.
As we were walking,I continued my research on the song's meaning.
When I found out,I was shocked to the core.
'This just proves it even more.'I thought.
It was about a person falling in love with someone and that someone gives mixed signals to the person but in the end that someone just reveals that they never loved the person.
'I'm 99% sure Y/N is Ni-ki's childhood lover.'I thought.
'I need to talk to Jay about this,as well as formulate a plan to confront Y/N so we can find out the truth.'I cooked a plan in my head.
We arrived at the cafeteria then we got our food then started to eat.
We found out last night that,Ni-ki and the girl that's name is Hye Soo,just decided that they would be better off as friends because they knew it wouldn't work out.
I saw Y/N and his members enter the cafeteria.
He looked at our table and immediately turned away.
I saw a certain emotion flash through his,heartbreak.
'Y/N,are you that person?'

I'm so sorry I couldn't double update last night,I had to sleep already.

Pano is basically a song about unrequited love but with mixed signals involved.
It's in tagalog but you can just google translate it.
Y/N and Ni-ki still have no development and it's already chapter 9 HAHAHAHAHA.
