Chapter 3

*Y/N's POV*
When we entered the classroom,I immediately looked away.
I couldn't look at him right now,my face would probably be as red as a tomato.
"Class!Please welcome the new students."The adviser said.
"Hi!"Lisa cheerily said.
"Hello!"Dahyun greeted.
"Hello."Luna responded.
"Okay,please introduce yourselves to the class."He told us.
"Hi,I'm Luna."Luna started.
"I'm Agatha."Agatha continued.
"Hello,my name is Elise."Elise said.
"Hi,I'm Emily."Emily spoke.
"I'm Claire."Claire introduced.
"I'm Cheska."Cheska continued.
"And I'm Y/N."I said.

*Ni-ki's POV*
'Y/N,that sounds familiar... but its not really a rare name so that makes sense.'I thought.
'But he looks also looks weirdly familiar as well.'I thought.
I just brushed off my thoughts and continued listening.

*Y/N's POV*
"We are from Croyance, and we were recruited by HYBE."Elise explained.
"What genre do you guys like to perform in?"Lisa asked.
"We love any kind of genre and that may be the result with us being an acapella/cover group."Luna explained.
"You guys perform acapella?"Rosé questioned.
"Yeah."Agatha replied.I could feel the teacher staring at me.
"Y/N,could you perform for us?"He asked.
Oh no,I kinda saw this coming.
"Alright."I agreed.I went in front of the class.
"Could you pick a genre for me?"I asked.
"K-pop."He said.
"Ok."I replied.
Before I performed I saw him ,I showed a small smile and I started singing 'Lilac' by IU, who was also in the class.
As I finished singing,I looked around
and saw everybody looking at me with shocked faces.
The teacher started clapping.
"You may now go to your seats."He said.
"Umm,sir, you haven't assigned us our seats yet."Luna addressed.
"Oh,right."He said.
"The girls can go sit next to IU."He said.
"And Y/N,go seat next to Ni-ki."He told me.
Great,I'm seated next to him .
We all went to our seats and listened to the lesson.
I could feel someone's stare so I looked to their direction.
He was staring right into my soul.
My heart started beating faster at the thought of him recognizing me.
"Is there something you need?"I asked as calmly as possible.
"Oh,nothing."He answered."I'm Ni-ki,by the way."He introduced himself.
"I'm Y/N."I told him.
After our little conversation,an awkward atmosphere immediately appeared.
This went on 'til the end of the class.
The class lasted for 4 hours(1 hour for the lesson,3 hours of free time).
It was lunchtime when we got out of the room.
We were walking to the cafeteria when we suddenly encoutered Sadie on the way.
"Hi guys!"Sadie exclaimed.
"Hey."Luna said with a slight smile.
"Are you guys heading to the cafeteria?"She asked.
"Yeah."I replied.
"Then I'll come with."She cheerily said.
"Sure!"Claire said.
We continued on our way to the cafeteria.
"Hey Faith?"I talked to Faith.
"Yeah?"She responded.
"I think its time that I told you who 'he' is."I whispered to her with the matching air quotes.
"Really?"She asked with disbelief.I nodded.
"So,who is it?"She asked.
"Promise me you won't tell anyone?"I said.
"Promise."She said.
"It's Ni-ki."I whispered to her.
"Wait,isn't that the boy you sit next to?"She asked.
"Yeah."I answered.
"How awkward was it?"She questioned.
"Very."I responded.
"That sucks."She said.
"I know."I spoke.
"Did you two talk?"She questioned.
"Yeah,but we just introduced ourselves to each other then awkward silence."I replied.
"Your pain is radiating so much that I can feel it from here."She joked.
I playfully nudged her on the shoulder.She just chuckled.
We entered the cafeteria and sat at an unoccupied table.
We all took turns in buying our food except Sadie because she packed her food.
From our table,I kept on stealing glances of Ni-ki from time to time.
I looked at him again pnly to see that he was staring right back at me.I immediately looked away.
I could feel the heat coming up to my cheeks,that was embarrassing.

*Ni-ki's POV*
"Hey Ni-ki."Sunghoon hyung called me.
"Hmm?"I replied.
"Y/N is stealing glances at you."He informed me.
I looked back to see him looking up from his food and looking at me.
He noticed me staring and looked away.
I could see his cheeks turning pink,I wonder how soft and squishy his cheeks are.
'Wait,what am I thinking?'I brushed off my thoughts and went back to eating.

*Y/N's POV*
"Y/N."Elise called me.
"Yeah?"I asked.
"Why are you blushing?"She asked.
"It's nothing."I quickly defended.
She raised an eyebrow and looked at me with doubt.
An excuse immediately came to mind.
"I'm just feeling shy from all the attention we're getting."I lied.
"Oh,don't worry about that."She assured me.
I saw Faith staring at me with a small smirk.
"Hey."A random dude came to our table.
"I was wondering if I could get your number."He said,referring to me.
"No,thank you."I blatantly rejected him on the spot.
Elise and Faith started silently chuckling,Sadie and Agatha were trying to hold back their laughter and Claire,Cheska and Emily stayed silent while this is going on.
"Excuse me,don't you know who I am?"He asked,offended.
"No,but I don't want to know you or be associated with you either so,bye."I told him.
The guy left our table feeling offended that he was insulted and disappointed that he was rejected.
"That was a very smart but savage move,Y/N."Elise remarked.
"Yeah,but he's horrible at flirting and I already like someone."I said,forgetting that only Faith knew about the story behind me and him.
"You have a crush?Who is it?"Elise hurriedly asked.
I realized that I slipped with my words.I need to keep this a secret,I can't bear to imagine the pain of not being recognized by him and being rejected.
"Nobody."I quickly defended.
"Y/N."Elise pushed.
"Drop it."I sternly said.
Elise and the others got scared so they decided to drop the topic for now.
