Lera

He doesn't know I'm here. No one does, for that matter, well, except my mom. I had to let her know I wouldn't end up dead in an alleyway when I left this afternoon. We haven't seen each other in about 2 weeks, as we've both been slammed with end of semester exams, and travelling backwards and forwards was just too much on top of it. We've still been facetiming multiple times every day, but I miss seeing him in person. I miss feeling him in my arms, I miss the feeling of his deep voice vibrating against my chest. I just miss... all of him.

It's been nearly 6 months since our summer adventure, and our dynamic has been different since then. Not better or worse, just... different. We've had to make more of an effort to communicate and make time for each other, which hasn't been an altogether bad thing. If anything, it's made up realize that the effort is needed when we're not together 24/7, which has only brought us closer.

Anyway, I finished my last exam yesterday, and I'm now on Christmas break. Christian has one last hockey game before he officially finished for the break, which just so happens to be today. How coincidental...

I pull into the first spare parking space infront of the rink, grabbing my bag before opening my car door. The cold air hits me as I step out, and I wrap my coat around myself even tighter as I speed-walk to the door leading to the rink. I open the door, leaving the cold air behind me. I reach for my wallet, and grab the emergency money I keep in there for entry. I hand it to the security standing at the door before entering the actual arena.

Wow.

It's an home game today for Willowshire University, and it's only my second time being in this arena. It's huge, with rows and rows of seating scaled in an ascending form. There's colorful lighting filling the building, with colors of both teams vibrant and eye-catching.

I turn past a corner, and begin to walk up a few rows until I'm around 3 away from the rink itself. I want to be able to see the game well, but I don't like feeling the vibrations from the glass when someone is slammed into it.

I settle myself down, placing my bag on the seat next to me. I pull my phone out of my bag, smiling at a text I've just received from Christian.

simp 3000: i'm going out in around 5, i miss you

me: i miss you too. dont get hurt pls

simp 3000: i'll try. wish you were here :(

Oh. If only he knew...

me: i'll be watching every move you make. i love you, please, please dont get hurt

simp 3000: sorry, have to go out now. i'll try, but only if you promise to give me a massage after. i love you more <3

I smile again at his text, before closing my phone and placing it back in my bag. Just as I do so, the arena turns completely dark, an announcers voice coming over the loudspeaker.

'Hello, and welcome to today's college ice hockey game between Willowshire University and the University of Wisconsin. It's going to be some fierce competition out here, and I'm honored to present to you... Willowshire!'

The crowd erupts as the players skate onto the ice. My eyes weave between players until they fall on Christian's charming face. He's not wearing his helmet as he glides across the ice, a large grin targeted at the crowd. Seeing him happy makes me happy, which only causes me to smile more. His teams shoots a few practice pucks into the net before stretching quickly. The announcer takes this time to bring out the other team, who doesn't receive as much support from the crowd. Soon after, both teams get into a group huddle, before they skate into their starting positions.
