I sat in Kal's room scared he was quiet and I was scared.

Uncle Chris never was this mean.Maybe it was my fault.

"Mel ,"Kal said as I looked at him.

"What."

"My mommy hurt."

"Then go do something."

Kal shook his head.

"My Dad said stay in the room."

"Your a wimp,"I said peeking my head out the bedroom door as Kal looked over my shoulder.

"Am not and What chu doin Mel?"

"I dunno,"I said wiping my running nose.

"You gonna get us in trouble ."

"I'm scared to be in here."

"You gonna make my Dad mad."

I shrugged my shoulders.

"I'll get my Dad to beat your Dad," I said.

"Oh yeah ?My dad beat your dad up."

"My dad a gangster ."

Kal shrugged his shoulders.

"So!"

"So my dad can take your dad ,"I said laughing.

Kal pushed me as I fell.

My dad always told me not to let people push me around .I had to man up and be a big boy.

I got up as I hit Kal in the face as he started crying.

I felt pretty good about myself until Uncle Chris ran upstairs and popped my hand.

"Your just like your Daddy, a waiste of a life."

I sniffed as I cried.

I told August to stay in the car ,it was enough drama and it was still anger between him and Chris.

I knocked on Kae and Chris's door as Chris answered.

His eye was starting to blacken as I tried my best to not stare at all the other marks and bruises he had on his face and arms.

"I came to get Mel ,"I said as he looked me up and down.

"Mel time to go,"he yelled upstairs.

I stood awkwardly as I looked at Kae on the couch.

"Kae ,"I said as I pushed past Chris running to her side.

Mel ran over to me as I kneeled down by Kae.

"Uncle Chris hurt her,"Mel said as I looked at Chris.

"What the hell have you done?"
