I opened it and poured both of us a glass.

"To our first date..." I said

"To our first date..." she said as we smiled at each other

We clicked our glasses together then drunk some. We started talking when the waiter came.

"Hey, what can I get for you tonight..." the waiter said

Soon as Liyah heard the waiter voice, her head snaps toward him and she choked on the wine.

I looked up and my eyes landed on Devon. I was stuck before I felt Naomi's hand rub my leg.

"You alright baby??" She asked

"Yeah..." I said with a small smile

"You gone order??" She asked

"I'll have the Cajun salmon on the bed of rice with a side of broccoli..." I said ordering

"Can I have Ribeye steak, mash potatoes and broccoli..." Naomi said

"How would you like your steak??" He asked her

"Well done..." she said

"Can I take your menus..." he said holding his hand out

I gave mine to Naomi and she passed it to him. He walked off and Naomi looked at me.

"Who's that??" Naomi asked

"You remember the boy who was tryna take advantage of me the night we met??" I asked

"That's him??" She asked and I nodded

"I'm bout to go ask Tia for a different waiter..." she said getting up but I stopped her

"No, you don't have to..." I said grabbing her arm

"You sure??" She asked looking at me

"Yes, as long as he don't try anything I'm fine..." I said

"Okay..." she said sitting back down

We started having small conversation as we sipped on the wine.

"So, where are you originally from??" She asked

"I'm from Atlanta..." I said
"Where you from??" I asked her

"Here. I've been here my whole life..." she said

"Have you ever thought about living somewhere else??" I asked her

"I mean yeah but if I would've moved I would've never met you..." she said making me blush

"Look at you tryna be smooth..." I said making her laugh

"I mean I made you blush..." she said

"Whatever..." I said

While we were talking some girls came up to the table to talk to her.

"Hey, I would love to chat but I'm on a date with my girlfriend..." she said

Soon as she said girlfriend my heart fluttered and I started smiling.

"We're sorry..." they said

"You're very pretty..." one of the girls said looking at me

"Thank you..." I said still smiling

They waved and walked off.

"Girlfriend??" I asked with an eyebrow raised

"About that. I really brought you out tonight so I could ask you to be my girlfriend..." she said playing with her finger
