It's been a month and lately Indigo has been very distant. We haven't been communicating like we used to. She's been taking in extra hours at the warehouse. She hasn't been taking days off. Most of the time when I wake up she's gone to the school already. When she's at home she's either sleep or playing her game. When she go to the warehouse and get off I be sleep. I've been trying to get her to talk to me but I haven't got any luck.

It was currently 12:15 and I know Indigo was on her lunch break. I called her phone and she answered on the 4th ring.
"Hello..." she says answering the phone

"Hey baby..." I said

"Hey..." she said being dry

"I wanted to cook breakfast for you this morning, but you was gone when I got up..." I said

"Yeah, I had to be here early for tutoring..." she said plainly

"Oh okay..." I said
"Ummm, can we talk when you get off??" I asked her

"Not today. When I leave here I got to head straight to the warehouse. I'm picking up extra hours..." she said making me roll my eyes

"You've been picking up extra hours for the past month Indigo..." I said lowkey getting pissed

"Okay and..." she said with a hint of attitude
making me looked at my phone confused cuz who tf she think she talking to

"Indigo who the fuck are you talking to, first off. Secondly, I feel like you've been avoiding me. I'm trying to talk to you and you keep giving me dry ass responses and stank ass attitude..." I said clearly upset

"Can we talk about this some other time..." she said
Tears started to form in my eyes cuz why is she treating me like this.

"See this what I'm talking bout..." I said to her but she didn't respond
"You know what, forget it Indigo..." I said as my voice cracked

"B—..." she started but I cut her off

"Bye..." I said hanging up in her face
Tears started running down my face.
"Fuckkkk..." I yelled throwing my phone across the room

I just want to know what I've done. Was she falling outta love with me. I don't know what to feel, what to think or anything. She's never acted this way towards me. Yo! this shit was really hurting my feelings.

I got off the couch, grabbed my phone and went upstairs. Tears was still streaming from my eyes. I just wanted my bed. When I made it to the room. I threw my phone on Indigo's side of the bed and I got under the covers on my side of the bed. This shit was really bothering me like why is she acting like this. As I was deep in my thoughts my phone started ringing. I reached my arm out and grabbed it. I looked at the caller ID and it was Aaliyah. I wiped my face and got myself together before answering the phone.

"Hello..." I said answering the phone

"Hey, what's wrong??" She asked sounding concerned

"Nothing..." I said softly

"You're lying..." she said and I didn't say nothing back
"I'm coming home and I'm bringing
food..." she said

"No enjoy yourself, I'm fine..." I said trying to sound believable

"Whatever, I'm on the way..." she said hanging up

I rolled my eyes and sat my phone on the night stand. I really wanted to be alone, but I know Aaliyah is not having that.
10 minutes later I heard Aaliyah coming through the front door. She jogged upstairs and appear at the door with a smile and food. I looked at her and she walked in. She sat the food on the bed and got in on Indigo's side of the bed. I turned towards her and looked at her.

"So what's wrong??" She asked looking at me

"Can we discuss ova food..." I said smiling

She laughed a lil and pulled the food to her. She opened the bag and handed me my food and she sat hers in front of her. We grabbed each other's hand and said grace. We started eating and at she looked up at me.

"Talk..." she said looking at me

"Okay, so it may not seem to you but to me Indigo had been very distant. She don't talk to me like she use too. She barely be here and when she is here, she's either sleep or on the game. She's been spending most of her time at that damn warehouse..." I said eating

"I mean I have noticed she hasn't been here often..." Aaliyah said

"So today I called her and told her I needed to talk to her. She was like not today I gotta head straight to the warehouse when I get off. I'm like what the fuck. She said she needed to work extra hours so I'm like you've been working extra hours for a month now. She was like "okay and..." So I started telling her how I feel. I feel like she's been avoiding me. I've been trying to communicate with her but she's been given me dry ass responses. Then she was like "can we talk about this some other time..." So I told her forget about it and I hung up in her face..." I said explains to her everything that went on

" I don't know, maybe she's going through something..." Aaliyah said

"I know. That's why I've been trying to talk to her to see what's on her mind. I don't like not talking to her. I don't like not seeing her like I used to..." I said looking at Aaliyah
"If I knew it'll be like this I would've stay where Grant had me locked up at..." I said eating a fry

"Don't say that cuz no you wouldn't have stayed ..." she said looking at he

"I know I wouldn't have stayed, I'm just saying..." I said looking down at my fingers

"How about you just give her some time and space then maybe she'll come around..." she said touching my hand smiling

"Okay..." I said looking at her with a small smile

I really don't know what I'll do if I didn't have Aaliyah here. She really keeps me from exploding. She keeps me balanced with all her positivity and I love it.
We continued to eating and talking about random stuff. After we ate, she went to throw our trash away and she came back in the room. I laid down, she laid down with me, and cuddled with me. We ended up falling asleep fast asf.
