It was quiet for a while "kensi I'm not said you need to take that leap of faith right now I just think you need to let him in he cares about you and seeing you like this is breaking him" nate broke the silence but kensi still couldn't find the words "i-i just" she studered then bit hard on her bottom lip thinking "I don't know how" she said, her voice wavering looking down at her fidgeting hands "he's there he's always been there just waiting for you to let him in trust yourself but most of all trust him he won't leave you he won't hurt you he loves you kensi he just needs you to see that" nate looked for some sort of reaction but her face stayed blank "I know" she whispered tears threatening to spill over until she blinked them away just then a knock came from the door and both their heads turned it was deeks "uh we have a case and uh we need ops" he saw kensi's face and knew he was interrupting "sorry" he looked apologeticly at nate " no deeks it's fine we were just finishing up here it's all yours" and with that nate stood up and walked out leaving kensi and deeks alone, but not for long "how are you kens" he stepped towards her "I could use a nap and maybe a few pain killers but I'll live" she looked up at him and smiled "you don't have to stay here kens" he put his hand on her shoulder "I know but I want to plus I don't want to be home alone" she looked down "hey hey" he put his hand under her chin and wiped away a tear "you won't be kens when you need to go home I'm coming with you" he smiled and kissed her forehead right before the rest of the team came in
