Sam and Callen ended up staying longer than expected but no one seemed to mind kensi had fallen asleep and the boys were all watching a football game
The game ended and deeks ordered take out "how is she really deeks" Sam asked looking at kensi sleeping on the couch "to be honest Sam I don't think she's doing to well, she can't sleep more than 2 hours with out being wake up by a nightmare and after the nightmear she's awake for another 3 hours because she's scared to go back to sleep not to mention the amount of pain she's in she can hardly move with out being in pain" Deeks was fighting back tears now "hey deeks she will get better it just takes time, and things like this like her being around people she cares about" Callen placed his hand on deeks shoulder " I know I just hate seeing her this way" he said quietly "we all do and we all miss her non stop talking at work" Sam laughed and so did Callen and deeks they all turned to kensi who was waking up "morning sunshine" Sam joked and she smiled. "I just ordered food if your hungry" Deeks helped her sit up " um a little bit " she said trying not to wince at the pain just then the door bell rang
"we should get going" Sam suggested "yeah we'll see you guys later" Callen got up and kissed kensi on the forehead and waved to deeks and Sam did the same after they left kensi and deeks went to watch TV on the couch "how ya feeling kens" he was facing her "a little bit better" she smiled "that's good" he smiled and they continued to watch TV
A while later the show they were watching ended and neither of them wanted to get up to turn on another one so the room was silent "Deeks" kensi whispered "yeah princess" he replied brushing her hair through his hands on his lap "why are you helping me, why are staying here even though I'm not getting better and you hardly get any sleep" tears were running down her face now "kens you are getting better and you will be better all of this is temporary" he wiped the tears off her face "and I'm staying because you" he laughed "you are worth it" she just looked up at him with tears still in her eyes and he got closer to her until he was so close he could feel her breath on his face he closed the gap between them and kissed her softly as if not to hurt her but with passion he pulled away just far enough to look at her and whispered "you kensi blye are worth everything to me" and he kissed her one more time and layed down next to her to go to sleep
