It wasnt an easy night for either of them; deeks was determined to be awake and there to help kensi every time she woke up from a nightmare and kensi had over 5 nightmare just in the one night.
It was around 11 when kensi decided to pull herself off the couch, deeks was no longer next to her but she felt him get up a few hours before. She walked to the kitchen still not very steady on her feet and leaned up against the wall pulling her head back in pain. Before she knew it deeks was by her side "kens are you ok" he asked trying to help her stand straight again. "i-im ok" she studered moving to the table and sitting down as softly as she could "I made you some pancakes" he looked at her with concern and she forced a small smile at him but when he turned around the smile fell immediately. He placed the plate of pancakes in front of her "please eat something kens" he almost begged her "I don't know if I can keep anything down" she studered as tears began to fill her eyes threating to spill over deeks just looked at her after 4 years of being her partner he had never once seen her this broken, he's seen her in bad situations but the morning after she was fine and back to normal. "It's ok kens, you need something what do you think you could keep down" he asked sitting in the chair next to her and looking at her "i-i don't know" she said pushing the tears away "maybe a smoothy" she still didn't look up at him but she knew he was looking at her. "of corse princess" he got up and kissed the top of her head
He made her a small smoothy and after he helped her rebandage some of her wounds "you don't have to stay deeks" she looked down at the ground secretly hoping he would stay, she needed him. "I'm not leaving you like this kens" he brushed the hair out of her face "I'm not leaving until I know my partners 100% back to her normal kick ass self" he half smiled at her and managed to get a small laugh out of her before she doubled over in pain. He sat next to her while she had tears streaming down her face and held her close "kens maybe we should take you back to the doctor" she just shook her head and he understood, after he got tortured the last thing he wanted was to go to the doctor and let them but him through more pain, but he also knew what was best for kensi and he knew she needed another doctor to look at her, she was not anywhere near ok and he wasn't going to put her through the hell of a doctor's visit just yet. So they just sat on the floor in her halfway and waited for the pain to pass
