After my 5th month, I was experiencing Braxton Hicks once or twice a week and they became more frequent as time passed, so my OB suggested I would avoid flying, which doesn't work well with our job schedule.

Fortunately, I was still working from the office but I was also complaining about it. Because of that, Aaron left almost everything that had to do with moving and designing the nursery up to me, to keep myself busy. He still helped when it came to carrying heavy things or when I need a second opinion.

Almost everything is ready for the big day but until then I made it clear to him that I'm working.

"Agent Heart" I hear as I enter the bullpen and I see Strauss waiting for me

"Chief Strauss, good morning" I say

"Good morning. Is the rest of the team still in Arizona?" she asks

"Yes ma'am. They released the profile yesterday and they are hoping to get leads from the public today" I answer and she nods.

"Can I talk to you in private?" she asks

"Of course" I answer and I follow her in Aaron's office since everyone was away.

"Is it ok if I sit down?" I ask, because my killing me

"Of course" she says and I take a seat.

"How are you lately?" she asks which I find weird.

This is going somewhere.

"I'm good. 4 weeks to go" I say and she smiles

"When are you planning on going on maternity leave?" she asks.

That's what this is about. She wants me out.

"When I give birth" I answer

"Don't you want to get some rest first? You should already be home" she suggests

"I appreciate the concern ma'am but I want to be here. I want to do as much as I can until I close myself inside the house for days" I say.

"I believe that you are aware of the regulations on relationships between coworkers" she says

"Both Agent Hotchner and I are aware" I reassure her

"But I already see it affecting your work" she says

"No, it doesn't. I might not like it but I'm staying back for health reasons. It doesn't have anything to do with my relationship with Agent Hotchner. Any woman could be in my position, Braxton Hicks is not uncommon" I explain

"And you are sure that your situation isn't a distraction to Agent Hotchner that can compromise his decisions to lead the rest of the team?" she asks

"Well, if it is, it is not my fault. If you have noticed something, you better talk to him directly" I answer.
"I know that you don't like disciplines in your units but I can't help you if you can't handle it" I say

"I don't like your tone Agent" she says
"It's ok. You can't fire me anyway due to my... situation. Now if you'll excuse me, I gotta work" I say as I stand up.
"If you need anything else, you know where to find me" I add and I leave the office.

When I'm alone here, I usually sit in the conference room because I can lay all the evidence or whatever on the big table or the boards that are there.

As I prepare everything, I feel a contraction, sk I lay back on the chair and I take my breaths.

"Good morning!" Garcia says as she enters the room

"Give me a sec" I say

"Braxton Hicks?" she asks

"Yeah..." I answer.
