A New Beginning

Family Excitement

Marinette walked next to Adrien with his arm around her waist and another arm holding a gift for Marinette's parents which was a gift that hopefully made them the happiest parents today. As they walked, Marinette was nervous. She kept fiddling with her necklace " Adrien do you think that they will be happy?" she said with a nervous face, Adrein laughed he loved how she worried about everything even when she knew that it would be perfectly fine " Marinette I am sure that they will love it I mean you worried about how I would feel about it and I am the happiest man alive, so why would you think that they would hate it, and what I mean by that is that we are not in highschool and on top of that we are married." he said calmly with a smile. She laughed off her worries with his remark almost like it was a joke and to her it was, he was her comfort, her safety blanket, her partner, her husband, and her soulmate. " You're right I don't even know why I was worried." she said with a smile as they walked into the Dupain-Cheng bakery.

Marinette always loved Christmas. It was so beautiful outside even though it was normally negative twenty two degrees outside with 3 centimeters of ice on the ground, ( also I am writing this in the way that they would see it so in the metric system so I am researching so it makes sense to the people that do read that way but for the people who aren't that's -15 degrees and 1 inch) but she loved it because of the fun times she had with her friends and family. As they walked inside she yelled " Mom, Dad we are here!" Sabine called from upstairs " Okay just come on up!". As they walked up the stairs she thought about how excited they would be about the fact that she was pregnant, she had made a blanket saying we are grandparents and we know it, but on top of that there was a bib saying you're grandparents, the box was wrapped in gold colored wrapping paper. As they opened the box they gasped Tom shouted with joy " REALLY THIS ISN'T A JOKE!" he yelled as he picked up Marinette and Adrien in a huge hug, and Adrien enjoyed this because he had never gotten that love from his father all he got was the cold shoulder, but here they welcomed him as if he was their son, which he was now but through law.

"Dad put me down!" Marinette screamed in delight as Adrien laughed, as he put them down Sabine said in a sincere voice " You're not kidding right?" she said picking up the blanket and at the bottom was a pregnancy test in a small bag Sabine put her hands over her mouth with tears of joy streaming down her face.

" Oh My Gosh I'm going to be a grandma!" Sabine said with much excitement. Marinette smiled and thought to herself why was I so stressed out about this, but thankfully I have Adrien to help me through this experience. The rest of the afternoon they spent happily and continued their Christmas traditions.
