"For twins, you guys are totally different," Bella said as the two girls walked towards the theatre carrying the snacks they just bought. Dean didn't come with his cousin and neither did his younger brother, Sam, or Lizzie's sister, Alice.

"Huh?"

"You and Edward," Bella clarified. "How do I put this without insulting either of you... you're nice... and he's not."

Lizzie understood immediately and nodded with a laugh. "Yeah, right, sorry. I heard what happened in Biology. Look, don't take this as an excuse or as me sticking up for my idiot brother because he is an idiot," she deadpanned. "But the mood swings on Edward are worse than a girl on her period sometimes, trust me. You probably caught him on one of his worser days. He'll be back soon enough and then with my permission please let it rip whatever you want to say."

As they got closer to the door, Bella dropped her skittles and both she and Lizzie bent down to get it only for their hands to collide.

"Whoa, you're freezing! Are you cold? I think I have an extra jacket in the truck."

Shit. Lizzie cursed.

"Ah, no, Bells. It's just poor circulation I've always had it it's nothing to worry about."

"It might be," Bella gently pressed. "You should probably get it checked out just to be sure because you're like seriously cold."

"My dad's a doctor, if he says I'm not dead it's really nothing to worry about."

"Okay," Bella said after a moment. She took the offered skittles from Lizzie before the two girls walked into the theatre and chose a seat somewhere near the middle row.

Lizzie sat distracted at the kitchen counter lost in her thoughts about school, Bella, her strange cousin Dean, and then her own idiotic family. She never even noticed the presence looming behind her before Edward grabbed the glass out of her hand and downed the drink. But instantly his face scrunched up and he ran over to the sink emptying the contents of Lizzie's drink out into it with revulsion.

"Ughhh! What the hell was that?"

"Squirrel blood and coke," Lizzie replied, grinning at her brother's expense. "So, maybe next time ask before you just go grabbing."

"What's going on with you? Mixing your blood, eating human food. Can't you just pick one already? It's been about a decade."

"I need blood to survive, Eddie, just like you," Lizzie reminded him. "But I get cravings. Human cravings. Like pizza, chips, donuts, bagels, cookies, sausages, pies, you know. Food. People food. And speaking of people, my dear brother." She said swiveling around in her chair to face Edward, who was still standing by the kitchen sink. "You should probably apologize to Bells tomorrow. I know we keep rejecting everyone at that school but that was just mean, even for you."
