Chapter 15- Sage Training

*Katsumi's POV*

"Eh?" I gasped silently while Naruto was dumbfounded

"Wh-what are you talking about..?" Naruto asked

"I know this is sudden. I don't blame you if you don't believe me" Fukasaku said then sighed "For quite some time, there were rumors that the Akatsuki leader is in Amegakure. So Jiraya-chan went to see if the rumors are correct. Jiraya-chan came upon the leader of the Akatsuki, Pain. However, Pain was Jiraya-chan's former student. Jiraya-chan called him Nagato. And he possessed the Rinnegan" Fukasaku said then Kakashi gasped

"Katsumi, did you know all that?" Tsunade asked

"I-I knew that the leader was Pain, but I didn't know anything other than that...I never met Pain in person or knew his location. I said it before, I'm not fully trusted in the Akatsuki so I barely know anything" I said with wide eyes and a shaky voice

"The Rinnegan's power was beyond imagination. Not only that...but there was six of them. Only Jiraya-chan had discovered their secret but...Even after he got his throat crushed by Pain, Jiraya-chan left a message before collapsing" Fukasaku said then took off his cloak and revealed a code

"I'm sure he did this to prevent Pain from noticing. I have told you everything"

"I wonder what Jiraya wanted to say. If we decode this, will we understand?" Tsunade wondered outloud

"Did you...let him go, granny?" Naruto asked

"That's right..." Tsunade said

"Why'd you allow such a reckless thing?! You knew Ero-sennin better than anyone else! How can you send him to such a dangerous place, alone?!" Naruto yelled

"Stop it, Naruto! You of all people ought to know Hokage-sama's feelings" Kakashi stated then Naruto clutched his hand into a fist and cursed under his breath and started walking towards the door

"Oni-san? Where are you going?" I asked then he grasped the door knob

If ero-senning was the fifth hokage, he wouldn't allow granny to take such risks...Never!" Naruto stated then walked out of the door.

"Tsunade-sama, Naruto is right...Would you let anyone take on a dangerous mission alone? It's not a matter of trust you know" I stated then grabbed the door knob

"If you'll excuse me now" I said then walked out and returned back home

-Time skip-

Someone kept ringing the doorbell over and over again while I was just making breakfast for Naruto. I tried to ignore it but there seemed to be no end to it unless I open the door. Frankly, I gave up and went to see

"Shikamaru, what do you want?" I asked

"Katsumi, is Naruto here?" Shikamaru asked

"Um...he's like, in depression so I don't think it's a good idea to talk to him right now" I said lowly

"It's serious. But for starters, can I come in?" Shikamaru asked then I sighed before leading him in. He gave Naruto a picture and asked him if he can think of anything to manage and decode it. The thing is, Naruto's mind wasn't really in place

"So, can you figure anything out?" Shikamaru asked but Naruto didn't answer "I said can you figure anything out?"

"Naruto!" Shikamaru yelled then Naruto snapped out of it

"Sorry, what was it again?" Naruto laughed sheepishly

"Come with me, you two" Shikamaru said then stood up
