Chapter 6- Third Exams

*Katsumi's POV*

After the preliminary rounds, Oji-san said that the third exams are going to be held a month from now on, and I was the only one of my team who passed. I was set to fight Kankuro, Naruto was against Neji, Shikamaru was against Dosu, and Sasuke was fighting Gaara

Naruto spent all month long training with Ero-sennin, and when I met him, he was truly living up to his name

The entrance ceremony was over, but Naruto suddenly flew into the stage at the last second

"The hell where you?" I deadpanned at Naruto

"Katsu! Why didn't you wake me up Tebayo?!" Naruto anime cried

"You told me that you wanted to wake up on your own" I stated then that look of realization hit him

The first match was Naruto Vs Neji. What can I say except I'm proud of my brother? He literally rocked the scene and beat the hell out of Neji

Sasuke's match was delayed because he hadn't arrived yet

It was me Vs Kankuro now. I jumped down to the arena and waited for Kankuro to come down. Well he forfeited. I sighed then jumped back up to Naruto

"Hehehe Nee-chan he's too scared to fight you" Naruto grinned and I grinned back then we started giggling together

Now it was Shikamaru's match. Temari went down to the arena in a nice flashy way using her fan. It looked like Shikamaru wanted to quit but Naruto had to push him down to the arena. Everyone started throwing trash at Shikamaru too. The fight started, Shikamaru almost caught Temari several times and when he did, he forfeited. I was staring at him with a confused smile then he jumped back up to us

After a lot of waiting, I mean A LOT, Sasuke finally showed up, wearing all black. His match started off well until feathers started appearing on my vision which made me a bit sleepy.

"ᴼᶦ...ᴷᵃᵗˢᵘᵐᶦ..."

"OI" Someone yelled slapping me then I quickly shot up to see Tenten and Kiba

"Are you okay?" Tenten asked

"Yeah I guess" I huffed rubbing my head

"The elder over here seems to have avoided a fatal wound" Neji said "What in the world has happened here?" Neji asked the elder. 

"We were attacked and Hinata was taken" The elder said

"The ones who took her were two Kumogakure shinobi who came here as spectators. They took advantage of the chaos to take the byakugan out of the village" The elder explained then grasped Neji's shoulder. "Neji, the byakugan which your father protected with his life is top-secret. We cannot allow it to be taken. Go after it; recover it, even at the cost of your life!" 

"Understood" Neji said then stood up. 

"Wait Neji, I'm coming too" Tenten said 

"This is a Hyuuga affair" Neji said 

"Even so, it's too much for you alone" Tenten stated 

"Hina is my best friend and a precious companion. I'll go too" I said 

"And besides, you don't think too highly of Hinata, there's no guarantee that you'll be serious on saving her" Kiba continued

"Then, let's go, Kiba's nose and Katsumi's sensory skills will be useful" Neji said.

 We immediately left the stadium then to the forest. Kiba sniffed something "Two enemies, they're going in a straight line through the forest" Kiba said. 

We stopped and we got surrounded by mud wolves. Tenten said that she'll take care of the wolves so we put our trust in her and continued pursuing the Kumo shinobi. Kiba said that the shinobi weren't that far ahead and he was right. 

We stopped at a tree branch "Now, what are we going to do?" Kiba asked and Neji sent no reply "It's useless if you try to stop me, we're going" Kiba said then we both went to save Hina. Kiba started with a Tsuga. I raised a water wall around me, Kiba, and Hinata. "Hinata, we're going to run!" Kiba said and right before we jumped away, Neji threw smoke bombs at where we were, transformed into Kiba, and transformed a log to make it look like Hina. Neji took off and the two shinobi followed him.

"Are they stupid?" I deadpanned "That son of a-" Before Kiba could finish his sentence, I hit him on the head "No cussing" I said and Hina chuckled. When Neji came back, I felt a bit of guilt. He helped us save Hina though 

"Neji..." I called and he turned to me "You see...I'm sorry...about a lot of things..." I said lowly 

"Me too" Kiba added. Neji put a smile on his face. 

"S-sorry, Neji-nii-san. B-because of me" Hinata said as her eyes started to water 

"Please raise your head, Hinata-sama. There isn't one thing that you should apologize for. I bore a resentment towards the head family without knowing the truth on my own accord. I blamed everything on fate and forced myself to believe that I alone was suffering. However, in the middle of our fight, that guy told me...He said that 'Hinata-sama was suffering from the same thing' In order to change the fact that she wasn't recognized, she was fighting for it" Neji said "I never even thought about it. He taught me clearly how narrow-minded I was" 

"Naruto-kun did?" Hina asked 

"Uzumaki Naruto. Quite an interesting guy" Neji said 

"Yes!" Hina said with blush. We all returned back to find some shocking things.

Suna and Oto planned the destruction of Konoha. Oji-san died. And Konoha was in terrible shape. I went to see Naruto, I heard that he was at the hospital. "Excuse me, Can I see Uzumaki Naruto?" I asked the receptionist "Okay, What's your name?" She asked "Uzumaki Katsumi" I said "He's in room 405, Katsumi-san" She said, I nodded then went to see him. I knocked on the door before entering. 

"Naru..?" I said as I opened the door 

"Oh, it's you, Katsu" He said lowly. 

"What happened to you?" I asked "I fought Gaara " He replied 

"What about you?" He asked 

"I saved Hina with Kiba, Neji and Tenten" I said as I sat down on the side of his bed. 

"I see...Katsumi..." He said 

"Yeah?" I asked 

"Oji-san died..." He said and I looked at the ground with watering eyes

"I know..."
