Chapter 2: Affection

Wednesday 5:52 p.m

Marinette waved goodbye to Kagami watching the beautiful girl get inside Tatsu, her car, and close the door as the red car drove away. The bluenette smiled and began walking to Le Grand Paris hotel. Once she arrived, she approached the doorman.
   "Hi! I'm a friend of Zoe's and I was wondering if I could hang out with her?" Marinette asked the doorman. The doorman looked at his watch, "Ah! Yes, Zoe did mention something about a friend coming over. Very well then...come inside. Her room should be on the second top floor."
"Thanks, I appreciate it!"
   Right after entering, Marinette begins walks to the elevator happily, that is- until she was greeted by none other than Chloe Bourgeois. "Ms. Dupain-Cheng? What are you doing here?" Chloe asked who was looking at her nails until the bluenette caught her sight, Marinette rolled her eyes. Finally, she said my last name right...Marinette thought opening her mouth and starting to reply to Chloe's question, but instead, Chloe places her finger in front of the bluenette's lips, "No need to explain. I can see why you want to spend your money here." And with that Chloe left the area. Marinette sighed and placed a grumpy face on as she walked inside the elevator. After a few seconds, the elevator door closes and Marinette crossed her arms thinking of what happened earlier, "Didn't even let me explain myself. She's such a-" "Calm down Marinette, I'm sure she didn't mean no harm." "No harm? It's nothing like that, she's just.. annoying is all." Once the elevator door opened, Marinette walked up to the door with the name Zoe on it.
   She knocked, "Hey Zoe it's me, Marinette!"
"Oh! Uh...in a second!" Marinette smiled and began waiting patiently at the door. A few seconds passed and Zoe still hasn't opened the door yet, She's really taking her time. Marinette looked around the hall and got bored, so she raised her fist about to knock again until Zoe finally answers, "Sorry I took long it's just that..I-...I was in-the bathroom! Yea! The bathroom." Zoe nervously said letting Marinette inside, "Oh that's okay. Anyways, anything you have planned for today?" Once Marinette finished her sentence, Zoe immediately placed an excited face and Marinette placed a nervous one since she is wondering what Zoe was thinking about, and what she had planned. "Woah!" Marinette yelped as Zoe pulled Marinette's arm dragging her onto the bed.
   "I have lots of plans to do! What time do you leave?"
"Hm. Maybe around 6:30 or 7:30 pm."
"Perfect just enough time!" Zoe closed the curtains, pulled out a TV in front of the bed, made popcorn, and got fluffy blankets all in just a snap of a finger. "Get comfortable as much as you like! I was thinking we could watch some comedy movies!" Zoe said plugging in the TV, Marinette smiled and nodded covering herself with a blanket. Then Zoe hopped onto the bed with a bowl full of popcorn after turning off the lights.

   The two girls watched some comedy movies for a good 2 hours and a half and were very comfortable, they were even getting fuller with each passing minute. "Why! Max, you're gonna regret this big time." Marinette pouted at the main character's actions. Zoe giggled and looks over at her friend lovingly, "Hey Marinette," she started as Marinette sat up looking at Zoe with a curious face, "Yea what's up?"
   "I uhh...bought you this...to thank you for making me realize to be myself around others...and for helping me make new friends." Marinette looked down at Zoe's hand seeing a beautiful ring with 2 hearts in the middle. "Awe! Thank you so much Zoe it's gorgeous!" Marinette puts on the ring admiring it. "I know it's not much...I tried to repay you" Marinette shook her head hugging Zoe, "It's perfect. I love it. Not to mention you knew my ring size!" Zoe smiles pulling away from the hug after cherishing it and gazed at Marinette's bluebell eyes.
   Marinette took out her phone to look at the time, it was 7:23 p.m "I should get going don't want to keep Alya waiting."
"Okay I can accompany you on your way home," Zoe offered with her cheeks glowing a little red. "That'll be nice" Marinette replied stretching out her arms and legs.

Timeskip, At the Sidewalks 7:34 p.m

   Zoe and Marinette were walking to The Tom & Sabine Boulangerie Patisserie, secretly enjoying the company of each other although they weren't talking. And because of the silence, Marinette slid her phone out of her pocket to see 2 messages, 1 from Fei and 1 from Chloe. Chloe? Marinette curiously asked herself as she pressed on the notification which guided her to the chat.
