"And this is our room"
Kasey had just showed me every door and every wall of this ENTIRE house.
If I could describe her in one word it would be talkative. I swear she talks a mile a minute!
She opens the door and there are three beds. two on the left and one on the right. the one on the right isn't being used so I figure that's where I'll be sleeping.
Next to my bed there's a desk and a window strait ahead of me when I walk in.
"This the new girl?" Somebody walks out of the bathroom
"Yea" I speak up, not wanting to come of weak
"Cool. I'm Bree"
"Cool"
"Well who are you?"
"Sky" I feel like I'm being interrogated
"So this is your room.thats your bed-" she says while pointing to the bed that I had assumed was mine.
"And Ya dinners at 7 you'll meet the rest of the clan!" Kasey squeaks
"Kasy we are not a clan!" Bree laughs
"Whatever I'm going downstairs" kasey skips out of the room
"So who are you?"
We spent the next hour talking about ourselves and comparing the foster home we've been to.

"So what do you think of matter?" I asked Bree
"Who" Kasey and Bree say at the exact same time
Kasey had walked in 20 minutes ago
"The person who drived me here" thier eyes went wide
"He told you his name? It's matter!! That's weird ow my god where is he??!?" Kasey began to scream
"Nonono Kasey stop! I just call him that because when I was in the ca-" my explanation was interrupted by a knock at the door
"Dinner" a deep voice screamed, it wasn't matters, so it must be someone who lives downstairs
"FOOOOOOD!"bree and Kasey both screamed
"I swear you guys are mental!" I can't help but laugh, they're so dysfunctional.
We rush down the stairs with me in the back of our group. People I haven't yet met looking at me like I'm trash. In a way it feels normal, the mean girls could be father and Kasey and Bree could be Ellie.
Ellie. they'll never replace her though. never.
This feels weird. I'm used to having to sneak food from the kitchen, but here they just give some to you.
Inside the kitchen the counters are lined with food and people are standing in line.
Once it's my turn I take some mashed potatoes and chicken. at the end of the line there are a bunch of water bottles so I grab one.
Bree and Kasey saved me a spot so I could sit in between them.
"Hey everyone, you've probably already noticed but we have a new member; sky. you all know the drill. well start with Bree and go in a circle till we hit Kasey. Then sky you'll talk about yourself. Go" matter says way to quickly
And dinner has begun.
