Allison

"Hello? Anyone here?" I heard someone call out from the lobby.
I walked over to the door, and opened it.
"Can I help you sir?" I asked.
"Ah you must be Allison. I'm Pruitt Herrera." He shook my hand.
"Are you related to Andy?" I asked.
"Yes. She's my daughter. She called me and told me that a fourteen year old kicked everyone's ass today in the exercises. So I had to come and see for myself."
"Thank you sir. I just did the best I could." I said with a small smile on my face.

"What do you want to be when you grow up Allison?"
"A fire fighter. I've always been drawn to it. But knowing my sister is a fire fighter too, it just makes me want it more." I said.
"Who's your sister?" He asked.
"Maya Bishop sir."
"I didn't know Bishop had a sister."
"Honestly, none of us did till two days ago. It's a long story." I sighed.
"I have all the time in the world if you want to tell me."

Maya

"Good job today team. No casualties." I said as I jumped off the wagon.
"That's cause we're 19!" Dean shouted.
"19!" Everyone chanted back.

I laughed and walked into my office.
"Allison?" I looked into the bedroom attached to the office and I didn't see her.
"Allison?" I walked out of the office and looked into the garage.
"Allison's not in your office?" Andy asked.
"No." My mouth felt dry as my heart pounded in my chest.

Andy and I ran upstairs, and into the kitchen.
"Ah! Mija! Bishop! How was the call?" Pruitt asked.
"Allison! You scared the hell out of me." I quickly hugged her from her seat next to Pruitt.
"I'm sorry. We were just talking." She apologized.
"It's okay. I just got freaked out."

Allison

"Bishop. You have a hell of a sister." Pruitt said.
"Thank you sir. I'm definitely proud of her." Maya smiled at me.
"She's gonna be a great fire fighter one day." Andy squeezed my shoulder.
"Thank you Tia Andy." I smiled at her.

"Are you ready to go home kid? You start school tomorrow."
"It was nice meeting you Pruitt." I said as I stood up.
"You too Allison. Remember what I said." He nodded at me.

*At home*

"God I'm exhausted." Maya said as we walked through the doors.
"There's my fire fighters!" Carina greeted us.
"Hi Carina." I grabbed a water bottle from the fridge.
"Hi baby." Maya gave her a quick peck, and hugged her from behind.
"You two hungry? I made Pasta alla Carbonara." She said as she grabbed some plates from the cabinet.
"Sounds yummy. I'm starving after those exercises today." I took a plate from her and got some pasta.
"You kicked ass today kid. But remember, winning isn't everything. I know our Dad has drilled that into your head." Maya sat next to me at the table.
"I know. I just like to win. It makes me feel accomplished."
"You should feel accomplished wether you win or not. You kept up with fire fighters that are double your age. People that have been training for years. And you're fourteen. That's a big deal." Carina said.

We ate our dinner and I quickly washed the dishes.
"You want to watch a movie with us bambina?" Carina asked.
"No thanks. I wanna get a good night sleep tonight. I want to be ready for school tomorrow." I yawned.
"Okay, goodnight farfalla."
"Goodnight."

*The next morning*

I quickly silenced my alarm, and rolled out of bed.
I threw my clothes on, and grabbed my new back pack. I hated the fact that I was going to a new school. But it was for the best.

"Good morning kid!" Maya said cheerfully as I walked into the kitchen.
"Morning guys." I grabbed a piece of toast and munched on it.
"Do you want a ride to school?" Carina asked.
"I'm okay. It's not too far, I can walk."
"Oh come on. Let us take you. I wanna get a first day of school picture with my favorite sister." Maya joked.
"I'm your only sister, dork."
"Let me take some pictures, and you can walk to school." Maya said.
"Deal."

"Carina, go stand next to Allison." Maya said as she pointed the camera at me.
"Say cheese!" She said as we both smiled.

They took a few more pictures. A few of all three of us, one of me and Maya, one of me and Carina, and a few of me by myself.
"Guys! I'm gonna be late." I laughed.
"Come to the station after school, everyone's excited for you to tell us about your first day."

"Make good choices! Be careful! Call us if you need us!" Carina shouted as I walked out the door.

*After school*

"God, I'm so glad I had classes with you Tuck. You made today bearable." I laughed as we walked out of the school.
"Me too. It's hard being a new kid. It really sucks." He agreed.

"Hey! You're new right?" A girl with dark hair and green eyes walked up to us.
"Uh y-yeah. Allison. Allison Bishop." I stuttered out.
"I'm Page. Page Wilson." She stuck out her hand and I shook it.
"Nice to meet you. Tuck, I'll see you tomorrow?"
"Yep. Bye B!" He walked away.
"So, did you just move here or something?"
"Something like that. I just moved in with my sister and her girlfriend."
"Oh awesome! Can I get your number? Maybe we can hang out soon?"
"Uh yeah! Yeah here's my phone. Put your number in. I'll text you." I said with a huge smile.
"Okay, cool. See you around." She smiled and walked away.

*At the station*

"Hey Travis!" I said cheerfully as I walked in.
"Mini Bishop! How was your first day?"
"Fantastic. Have you seen Maya?"
"She's upstairs with everyone else. I wanna hear details when you come back down." Travis said.

I walked upstairs, and walked into the kitchen.
"Hey kid! How was school?" Maya asked as she hugged me.
"Great. I loved it." I said excitedly.
"You're super excited. What happened today?" Vic asked.
"You have a crush!" Andy exclaimed.
"What? No I don't?" I felt my face turn red.

"Oooo does my baby sister have a crush?" Maya teased.
"Oh shut up." I walked to the fridge and grabbed a water.
"So you do! What's their name?" Vic asked.
"Page." I smiled.
"Did you get her number?" Andy asked.
"Actually, she asked me for my number."

"Ooo good job sis! Someone's crushing on my baby sister."
"She's probably straight. I don't even know."
"You'll find out. Do you have any homework?"
"Nope. I finished it all in school."

"Cool. Wanna help me check the hoses?" Andy asked.
"Hell yeah!"
"Allison! Language!" Maya scolded.
"Sorry."

"Come on mija."

*A few hours later*

"Allison! You ready to go home?" Maya asked.
"Yes. By Tia, I'll see you tomorrow after school." I gave Andy a hug.
"Bye sweetie."

We walked out to the car and got in.
"So, has she text you yet?" Maya asked as we drove home.
"No. I had her put her number in my phone. I just haven't had the chance to text her."
"So, you have the chance now."
"Okay, okay." I pulled out my phone and sent her a text.

Me: Hey! It's Allison. Sorry, I got busy at the station. I was helping my sister's friend check the hoses.

We pulled up to the house, and walked in.
"Ciao! How was school today?"
"Great. I had fun." I said with a smile.
I heard my phone go off, and I checked it.

Page: Hey cutie! I was wondering if you were going to text me lol. Do you mean the fire station?
Me: Yes! My sister is the captain there. I go there after school and hang out and help out.

"What's that smile for?" Maya asked.
"Nothing."
"Did she text you back?"
"You got a girl's number today?" Carina asked with a smile.
"Uh yeah. Her name is Page. We're in the same grade." I smiled.
"Awe our baby has her first crush!" Carina joked.
"Okay, okay. Enough teasing. I don't even know if she likes girls. We're just friends."
"Okay, okay. Do you want Chinese for dinner? I really don't feel like cooking." Carina asked.
"That sounds good to me."
