“You’re sure it’s okay?”

“Yes. I’m sure.”

“And he didn’t mind?”

“Not at all. We just added an Epilogue.”

“Can you tell him how grateful I am? To both of you?”

“You just did.” Binny grinned.

The conversation paused for a moment as Hermione gathered her courage for her next question.

“Do you think she’ll be upset?”

“How could she be? It’s a reasonable request.”

“I just think that it would be nice to be the protagonist next time.”

“Don’t tell me. Go tell her.”

Binny looked through the windows as Hermione went inside. Edinburgh was cold this time of year. Patrons walked out of the coffee shop, with its bright red façade, clutching their coffees between their palms to keep warm.

Binny watched as Hermione tentatively approached an elegant blonde woman. As nervous as Hermione was, Binny thought the blonde woman looked even more nervous. After a brief hug, they both sat down at the table, and began to talk.

Though she had forgotten to wear a warm jacket, Binny didn’t feel cold at all. All Binny felt was alive.
