the rest of the boys were in the infirmary room the moment Renjun ripped y/n’s shirt off
“shit what are we gonna do now!?” Jeno cussed “should I turn her?-” “NO. Chenle, it’s too much of a risk, her body might reject it.” Mark disagreed
“there’s a way” Jaemin said, “explain fast, we don’t have all the time to listen, she could die any soon” Haechan hurriedly said, he was really worried about y/n
“okay so what I could do is to operate her, it’s a quick operation actually, but I will need some help from someone who’s familiar with surgical tools-” Jaemin suggested, immediately, Haechan raised his hand
“i know how to use those, my parents taught me growing up, I could help you” Haechan said, Jaemin nodded and took the right tools, like he said, it was a quick operation only.
Haechan and Jaemin operated y/n’s wounds and finally she has been stabilized
“thank god” Renjun sighed in relief “she will wake up in an hour” Jaemin said, “but someone has to stay with her during that hour” Jaemin continued
“I will!” all boys shouted, Jaemin just sighed, “Haechan will stay with her.” Jaemin finalized, the rest of the boys protested but Jaemin just pushed them all outside to the infirmary.
“i’m so sorry y/n...” Haechan spoke while sitting beside her “i don’t know how to even look at you properly, what even is happening to me?” Haechan talked to himself
Haechan just chuckled imagining how stupid he looks right now, “God I wish you’re awake...” Haechan murmured, it has been already 20 minutes since the operation happened
Haechan held y/n’s hand and felt so much warmth in it, causing him to daze off and sleep beside her bed.
Another 50 minutes has passed and y/n is already gaining consciousness, blinking a lot as she was blinded by the lights
“what happened...” y/n questioned herself, she felt someone was holding her left hand so she looked on her left to see a sleeping Haechan, holding her hand, she didn’t wanna wake her up so she tried to move minimal as she could
as she tries to move, her wounds were causing pain making her groan, which woke Haechan up
“wha- OH MY GOD Y/N BE CAREFUL” Haechan worriedly said, “Here let me help you” he continued, he helped y/n sit properly
“thank god you’re okay” Haechan sighed in relief “Okay but what happened to me? All I could remember was Renjun carrying me to the infirmary then I blacked out” y/n said in confusion
“You blacked out since you’ve lost a lot of blood, me and Jaemin did a quick operation on you so your wounds could be stabilized, the wound you had by the berserker? It was laced with some toxin that was spreading your body, something that could make you loose a lot of blood” Haechan explained
“the cut by the berserker wasn’t that bad to have you to loose an amount of blood, it was because of the toxin the knife was laced in” Haechan continued
“okay.... What about the bite I had from the wendigo?” Y/n asked “oh it’s just any normal wendigo bite, you will be fine” Haechan responded to her question
Soon silence was only heard, The social butterfly became the awkward butterfly, y/n was just closing her eyes, just resting
“Name is Lee Donghyuck.” Haechan suddenly spoke which startled y/n “w-what?” Y/n stuttered
“my real name is Lee Donghyuck, I decided to make my name ‘Haechan’ because I don’t like my real name being talked about negatively, I only allow people who’s close to me call me that.” Haechan explained
“then why are you telling me this ....? We just met yesterday” y/n asked “because I trust you.” Haechan smiled, Y/n just laughed and smiled back
“i’ll call the others now” Haechan said, he called the others and soon all of them were surrounding y/n’s bed
“y/n I thought you wouldn’t make it!” “thank god, she’s okay” “i was crying for you y/n, I was so scared that you might-” as all 6 were spitting words, Haechan cleared his throat signalling the boys to shut their mouths which they did
“i’m fine guys, and thank you for worrying, thank you for helping me really, I do not know how to repay you guys such-” y/n was cut off
“you could repay us by hanging out with us” Chenle happily said “okay okay, but what about my cousins? Do they know?” y/n asked all of them
all of them knew they fucked up.
