AUTHOR'S POV (3rd person point of view)

Laura knocked on Jane's room door "Jane? Are you in there darling"

No answer.

Why does she always have to act like her father? She sighed, then opened the door. Her room was quiet and empty.

"Hello" she called out and heard her voice echo throughout the room."Jane" she panicked this time and rushed down the stairs.

"Have you seen Jane?" She asked mike, her heartbeat rising

His eyes were glued on his phone "she mentioned one day about starting work today or something" he answered.

Calm down, she just went for work she assured herself. Nothing more, nothing less.

"Remember we have to pick-up your sisters and cousins from the airport"

"How could I ever forget?" she didn't understand why they had to come especially in their bunch, sometimes it ticked her off balance with all of them in the house.

The nanny would take care of her she assured herself.

"Where is your daughter" Helen asked. To be frank she just loved gossip. She honestly didn't care and by the tone of her voice it was obvious it was for mockery.

"She's fine" Elizabeth coolly answered, trying to show she wasn't up for a conversation at the moment.

In reality she had no idea where Jane was, the twins were far off in the living room being adored by her younger sister who had this undying love for babies.

She brought out her phone and called Aileen.it didn't take long before she answered the call

"Good morning Jane's mom" Aileen cheerful singsong voice sang

"I've told you, you can call me Laura, I don't mind" Laura smiled why Jane can't be like this...HAPPY.

"Please be honest with me, do you know if Jane went to work today?" she slowly asked

"Nope. We are work partners but she didn't come today. She even sent a text saying she couldn't come"

Laura paused

"What exactly did she say in the text?"

"I can't come" ail replied in a dry deadpan voice hoping to sound as grim as Jane

Typical.it sounded like her daughter. Straightforward.

"Do you know where she is?" Laura pressed further, all she needed at this point was a yes.

"Actually I don't"

"Where do you think she'll be?"

"I think walking...or alone.....I guess....I don't think I'm helping matters"

"It's not your fault....goodbye have a nice day"

Laura hung up the call, where was Jane?

She called her phone number the fifth time. It was switched off.

Where would she have gone? she kept on pondering. Her daughter was a grown up and could fend for herself....hopefully.

"Eerm, where is the toilet" Muna asked her, that was her sister-in-law

"Down the hall by the left" she briefly answered and walked.

Laura walked upstairs straight to her room she needed sleep, maybe when she wakes up her daughter would have come back. She whispered a prayer before her head hit the pillow

DEAR LORD, PROTECT HER.

So spoiler

NEXT CHAPTER WOULD BE AIL'S POV...SOMEHOW

Yeah, I tried guacamole with my brother's today. We bent the recipes a bit, like instead of lime we used orange and instead of freshly cut tomatoes we used ketchup, which was very nice......you guys should try it.

That's all for now, thank you for reading I appreciate a ton.
