"Mel you have to stop strangling Puff,"I said removing his arms from around Puff our family dog.
"Mommy I sorry,"he said smiling showing his baby teeth.
"Do you mean it this time?"I asked looking at him as he nodded.
"Lying is bad next time imma whoop your behind."
"Okay Mommy,"he said looking down.
"Did Daddy help you pick out this outfit ,"I asked looking at him .
"No I did it ALL by myself."
"Well go wash your hands so you can eat breakfast,"I said as he ran out.
I scambled the eggs as August wrapped his arms around my waiste.
"Well Good Morning to you too ,"I said looking at him as he kissed me.
"What was that for?"I asked.
"Damn ,I can't kiss you behbey,"he asked pulling me close .
"You can , "I said smelling his scent.
"Stop smelling me ,"he said as I looked at him.
"But baby you smell so good and look so cute in your little suit,"I said snickering.
"Shut up ,"he said as he turnt the stove off.
"I still cant believe you got me goin ta ICDC College ."
"It'll be good for you."
"But what if they make us say the damn song every morning."
I laughed.
"Mommy I washed my hands look,"Mel said smiling big as he held his wet hands up.
I grabbed two papertowels off the counter and dried his hands off.
"Dad look I have swag just like Uncle Chris,"Mel said posing.
August laughed.
"So you sayin your old man aint got swag ,"August asked picking him up.
Mel scrunched his face up like he usually did when he was in deep thought.
He shrugged his shoulders.
"Gimme five,"August said shaking his head.
Mel highfived him as August played around with him.
I fixed their plates as I sat it on the table.
"Boys eat,"I said as they sat at the table.
"You want syrup on your pancakes Mel,"I asked as he nodded.
"What about you Aug ."
"I'll like a 5'5 chocolate thick piece of chocolate with extra whipcream,"August said as I shook my head.
Mel snickered.
"Do you always have to be nasty August?"I asked pouring syrup on Mel's pancakes.
"I dont but I do it anyway."
"You talked to Mama ,"I asked.
"Yeah she said she'll be over soon to pick up Mel."
I sat by August .Being with his ass for 7 years now hasn't been easy but I loved him more than life itself and thats a fact.I just wish he'd pop the question already but seems like he's not ready.
Over the past four years I've started working at another job as an assistant for a female named Chris .Shes nice at times but controlling .Her breath stay on 10 so I try not to breath around her.I work Monday through Friday from 10 til 5.
"Mama getting too old to keep up with Mel,"August said.
"So what are you suggesting we put him in daycare?"
"Nah man like a Nanny or som ."
"Ion no August ,"I said looking at Mel eat .
"We'll try it out for a few days ta see if we like it."
"I dont know how I'll feel about a male or female around Mel."
"It wont be so bad ,one of us will always be in and out and Mama will be stoppin by."
"You sure,I asked August ."
"Mel you want a Nanny?"August asked.
"What a Manny."
"A nanny is like your Daddy and I they bathe you,play with you,feed you,love you,and spoil you."
August laughed.
I rolled my eyes you have something better August.
"Mel check this out a Nanny is like Uncle Chris and Trey they always stay turnt and have fun and let you play video games all day and eat junk food."
Mel eyes widen.
"August shutup and dont give him any ideas."
"Mommy I want Manny."
"I second it,"August said looking at me.
"Well..."they both said giving puppy dog eyes.
"Fine ,"I said as they laughed and clapped.
I rolled my eyes.
"I should get going ,"I said getting up hugging Mel.
"Mommy Loves You."
"Luv You To,"Mel said hugging back.
I pecked August's lips as I grabbed my purse.
"Both of you learn something today ," I said leaving out.
"Yeah Yeah,"August said.
