Sa pagsiklab ng apoy, patuloy na nitong nasira ang mga pagtataksil na nakapaloob sa bawat papel na unti-unting sinisira nito.
Nagising ako sa silid ng malaking hospital na malapit sa law school. Hindi ko alam kung pa'no ako napunta rito.
Pakiramdam ko, may kulang. Pakiramdam ko may mga ilang bagay akong nalimutan.
Pilit kong tinulungan ang sariling tumayo kahit na nakakaramdam pa'rin ako ng labis na panghihina.
"You are immortal. Anak ka ng immortal, areum. Anak nga kitang talaga." Hindi ko alam kung saan nanggagaling ang boses na 'yon, kanina ko pa 'yon naririnig ngunit paulit-ulit kong hinahanap kung saan 'yon nanggagaling.
Naupo ako sa upuan na nakaharap sa bintana ng hospital, nasa 5th floor ang kwarto ko, kung kaya't kita ko ang mga sasakyan mula sa silid ko.
Umagaw ng atensyon ko ang repleksyon ko sa salamin ng bintanang 'yon, "Rules are rules. The game isn't over yet, dear." Saad ng repleksyon kong 'yon. Natumba ako mula sa kinauupuan ko.
Cellphone Ringing...
Hinanap ko kung nasa'n ang cellphone na 'yon, nakita ko na nandito rin 'yon sa sahig, mabilis ko naman 'yon kinuha at sinagot ang tumatawag.
"Hello?"
"Areum."
Bigla akong nakaramdam ng pagkatuwa sa puso ko.
"Taewoon. Nasa'n ka? Puntahan mo 'ko rito, nagaalala ako sa'yo."
Wala akong narinig na kahit na anong tugon mula sakaniya. Ilang minutong tahimik lang siya at hindi nagsasalita. Narinig ko siyang bumuntong hininga habang hinihintay na magsalita siya.
"I love you." Tanging 'yon lang ang sinabi niya.
Mas lalo pa lumalim ang pagaalala ko. Hindi ko maintindihan, di'ba dapat masaya siya dahil nakaligtas kaming dalawa? Ngayon, malaya na kami. Maaari na namin magawa ang mga gusto namin.
"Hanggang sa huling hininga ko, mahal pa'rin kita. Walang nagbago at walang magbabago, mahal kita, palagi."
"Mahal din kita. Mahal na mahal din kita, taewoon." Tugon ko.
"Please take care of yourself. Alam kong kulang pa 'to bilang kabayaran sa mga nagawa ko. I'm the one who killed wooyeon. Pinatay ko siya dahil mayro'n siyang sikretongkaramdaman. Gusto ka niyang patayin dahil obsessed siyang gawin ang bagay na 'yon, masaya siya sa tuwing ginagawa niya 'yon. Siya ang pumatay kay soobin at jihoon. Pinatay niya rin si semi."
"Hindi. Taewoon, ako 'yung---"
