I'm overboard
Drowning in my anxieties
But then a tranquil ship sails by
And a loving hand reaches out
To pull me up.

Halfway up
To safety, to peace
The hand lets go
Leaves me alone.
Yes I am left
To flounder
In the thundering seas
Once more.

And yet another comes
To pull me up once more
But then they let me
Be alone
And I am overwhelmed
By the ebony black waters
Of the sea.
