Twoset Switch

Chapter 4

The Twosetters, their Youtube channel fans, noticed from the very first video they released after the switch. Some of their comments received on Youtube were like;

"Is it just me or has Eddy and Brett swapped bodies?"

"Yeah, why is Eddy so dead-pan while Brett is playing ?"

"Since when does Brett fan-girl over Eddy when he plays? Not that I'm complaining! I think he looks so cute!"

As Twoset produced more videos, it started to become a "thing" that was frequently discussed on Reddit.

"Evidence for the Twoset Conspiracy Theory – Has Brett and Eddy switched bodies ?? I noticed they switched parts for their duets as well. For particular pieces they've played in the past, Eddy had played violin 1 and Brett violin 2 but in the recent video they've switched."

"Evidence for the Twoset Conspiracy Theory – Has Brett and Eddy switched bodies ?? Their new violins look very similar, but if you have a look at the video when they first introduce their new babies to us... you may realise that Brett and Eddy have switched violins !!"

"Evidence for the Twoset Conspiracy Theory  – Has Brett and Eddy switched bodies ?? Brett started to do that Eddy thing while he plays."

Brett looked up from his laptop.

"OMG some of our fans are so insightful, it's scary !!"

"Some of them seem to know us better than we know ourselves..!"

"Old habits die hard... I gotta stop dead-panning with your face Eddy."

"Yeah, I saw that footage, it looked like I was possessed by you or something."

Brett chuckled.

"You're not that far from the truth."

"So, Brett, what's this Eddy thing they're talking about ?"

"Heh, I could probably identify a few things easy. Just look at me in that video, I mean, it's Brett on the outside, but he's playing like you, Eddy, it's so you in there, just look at that head tilt – I didn't even know I could bend my neck like that. You poor thing struggling with the lack of perfect pitch, trying to listen to your violin so hard for tone and struggling with small hands...."

"Geez Brett, you make it sound so terrible. I'm loving your left hand agility, Brett. My runs are so much better now, which probably isn't obvious when you think you're listening to yourself because you had it all down pat anyway. Meanwhile, how are you with controlling my banana hands?"

Brett smirked and showed his (well, actually Eddy's) hands and looked at them admiringly.

"Banana hands? Yeah they are huge like a bunch of bananas and I'm still getting used to them but OMG the reach I get from these ...... I just love it."

"And the perfect pitch?"

"That has been... interesting. I hate playing off-tune now. Even being off so slightly...it's so grating..."

After filming, they packed away their gear, had dinner then sat down together in the living room with their coffees for their daily "meeting". This wasn't for their Youtube channel but for the other "matter" that they felt needed discussion on a regular basis.

"Brett... we have to keep looking into how to get back to how things are supposed to be."

"Eddy... how are we supposed to do that ? I've searched everywhere on the internet for similar cases... I've even used google translate to search in different languages..."
