// Castiel's POV

"Dean, where exactly are you taking me?"

They had been driving for a while and Castiel was still not informed as to where they were going.

"Best diner I know." He smiled.

Castiel slowly nodded and fiddled with the bottom of his shirt.

The rest of the ride was silent. When they arrived. Dean got out of the car, ran around it and opened the door for Cas.

Castiel stepped out and thanked him. Dean smiled and lead him into the diner.

They sat in a booth in the very back of the diner.

A girl with wavy blonde hair smiled at them and ran to their table.

"Hey Dean. Who's your friend?"

Dean looked up at her and smiled widely.

"Hey Jo. This is Cas. Cas this is Jo."

Jo smiled and waved at him.

"So are you two ready to order drinks?" She asked.

"Er yea. I'll have a cold one." Dean smiled.

Jo nodded and looked over at Castiel.

"I uh-- water's fine." He mumbled.

Jo nodded and handed them some menus.

"Tell Ellen I said hey." Dean reminded as Jo walked away.

Castiel looked over the menu and set it down after a while.

Dean was just kinda staring at him.

"Dean? Are you alright?" Castiel asked, feeling a bit nervous.

Dean hummed a reply and kept staring at him, a soft smile playing on his lips as his head rested on his hand.

Castiel looked away and fiddled with the bottom of his shirt again.

After a few minutes of awkward silence, Jo came back with their drinks. They ended up ordering the same thing and Jo disappeared once again.

"Cas?"

"Hmm?" Castiel replied, taking a sip of his water.

"Why didn't you tell me about your bill?"

"I told you Dean. Those are my personal problems." He said, not looking at him, but at the water in his cup.

"I know they are but you s-- "

"Dean. That's none of your business. Besides, I almost have enough money. I'll be fine." He smiled and finally looked up at him.

"Okay...I just wished you told me about it. I could've helped." Dean sighed, placing his hands on the table.

Castiel smiled softly and took Dean's hands in his.

"Dean...I appreciate your concern but...we just met and I don't think you should be helping me pay my bill."

Dean sighed again and nodded, but didn't pull away his hands from Cas'.

Jo came back with their burgers and kinda stared at them before setting their plates down.

Dean quickly pulled away from Cas, clearing his throat.

Castiel's cheeks grew a light pink and he pulled back as well.

"Well...here are your burgers...I'll just leave you two alone." Jo smiled and walked away.
